 Hi all! I am finally home from WDW :)

Carol, I see I missed something about doctors and I am not entirely sure what went on (haven't searched the other threads yet) or even back yet, but no matter what, you have to do what makes you feel most comfortable :)

Well all I am home. I have my exchange stuff so I am happy about it all. I'll send it out later this week :)

Good night all :)

Good evening all ....... had lots to catch up on !

A belated happy birthday to you, Melissa !!

Lars - I live about an hour away from Old Saybrook ... not too far

I rented two movies over the weekend "One Hour Photo" .. that one was ok and kind of creepy ..... "Almost Famous" was really good - I enjoyed that one a lot !!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday !

Oops... I forgot to say I had an excellent time!!!! I will tell you all more about it later as I really need to get to sleep.

Carol, I just wanted to say I skimmed and I would have been offended as well. Sorry you were :(

Well I AM off!!! The song "Imagination" is ringing through my head so I will go to sleep smiling I think :teeth:

I also thought it was kind of creepy!
If you want to see a Great Movie, rent Antwone Fisher.
Starring Denzel Washington and Derek Luke.

Welcome Back Elaine!!

And now I have it to brighten my morning!!!

Welcome Home Elaine!!
I can't wait for pics & to hear all about it!:D

I checked out the "glasses" thread. I think Cindy was talking "boutique" instead of private practitioner. I don't blame folks for shopping around, but let the business KNOW that is what you are doing. It would be unfair to do more than just a simple inquirey and then go elsewhere for the glasses.

Welcome home Elaine! I will now be singing "Imagination" for the rest of the day also.:)

I have a different song in my head this morning...

"It's my thing, Do what you want to do...."

Unfortunately for my family, I let it out of my mouth. They were all glad to leave for school and work.

Good morning Angels!

DW and I speant the requisite amount of moolah in TDS last week to score two tickets for NEMO (It was our first time back to the store in quite some time:rolleyes: )

I was off work yesterday so we dropped our 3 year old off at a friend's house and took our oldest DD to see it.

Normally DW does not attend because of the hassle of having to drop off our youngest and it hurts her back to stay in the seats for that long, but since we had two tickets anyway we just purchased the child ticket (and popcorn, drinks...) and went together.

Unfortunately, we did not make it far into the movie before DD wanted to go home.

She is 5 1/2 and has been to the movies a few times (Lilo & Stitch, Jonah, Spirit) without any incident but she was scared to death and wanted to leave.

The scenes with Bruce the shark and one other fish were too intense for her. (The animation was great for those scenes BTW.) I think it was just the factor of the screen being so large, the theatre dark, and the loud music and surround sound making it even more ominous.

So we actually left during the movie and went home. She wasn't crying or anything, but she was very adamant about wanting to leave.

I do not mean to infer that I do not think Nemo would be good for small kids; I'm sure most enjoy it, but she was already filled with seperation anxiety when he was taken from his father (No spoiler there...everyone knows that..right?) so everything else just built on it.

As a father I wanted her to stick it out since I thought she had probably already made it through the roughest parts and I did not want her to leave with the story unresolved in her mind. I thought it was important for her to see everything come out fine in the end (I assume it does)

But of course, I also didn't want to make her stay when she didn't want to and I felt guilty for even thinking about it, but I'm trying to think of which is "best" for her.

I'm sure we will get the DVD when it is released and maybe it will be a little less frightening to her on the small screen.

Alan, we went through the same thing with Logan when he was younger. He was scared to death during Prince of Egypt, Dinosaur, Tarzan, etc. Now that he is a few years older, he is fine. I agree with you about the whole theater experience being scary with the darkness and the sound being so loud at times. Hopefully she will enjoy it much more on DVD.

Good morning angels and TMWLT!!!! I have a really hard time keeping up these days since I don't seem to be able to check in very often.

Thanks to all those that answered my question about thong size, but not everyone has answered yet. Come on folks!!! This is important information!!!;) :p

A belated happy birthday Gaspode! I think I wished you one yesterday on the riddle thread, but you might have missed it. That cake looked yummy!!!

Welcome home E! I'm glad to hear that you had a great time! Looking forward to seeing all those pics!

Morning All!

Diane - I thought I had problems w/ the pool people, but your troubles seem to be never ending. A $250,000 loss is unbelievable!

Elaine - welcome back and can't wait to see the pictures.

Alan - going to take my DS and DD to see Nemo tomorrow. Hopefully they will be o.k. LK and I might go to Disney today at lunch to get our free tickets.
