I just finished watching AR4 & now I'm catching up on the Dis before bed. Looong day here.......had to have a glass of wine while I was watching the show

I've never watched it before.....Lew & I got a kick out of the different teams. I'll probably watch when we're around on Thursdays.

I could use some wine too......but we're still plodding away on the last project. Would you believe the kids actually ATE those yucky cell models today in science??? Matt had used sour punch straws for the outside of the cell and they were all slimy because of the jello......YUCK!!!

Morning everyone! I will be helping out at Field Day all day today for school, so I won't be around. Tonight is the annual family picnic for our Brownie troop. Looks like good weather for both. All of the families chipped in and bought the leader and co-leader an Italian charm bracelet with a few charms. Hmmm, wonder who came up with that idea? I'm sure they will love them!

Another clarinet player here! Mine got passed on to my nephew a few years ago. I'll have to get it back if he doesn't want it anymore. Someday, I would love to join the community band that is made up of people who still love to play, but might not be very good (like probably me!).

LK - sounds like you have a fun day planned....and how NICE (for a change) that the weather will be cooperating! Enjoy all the events!

I played clarinet in my High School Band too!!! (This is getting a LITTLE scary folks....don't you think?) Although I am/was a "music" person (went on to study as my major in college) I don't think I'm prejudiced about my feelings that music (and the arts in general) are SO important for kids....especially in the times we're living in.....a good, healthy alternative to the NOT so positve paths one could choose for needed emotional "outlets"...

Shamrock - any good word on the "diggers"? Summer MAY actually be coming AFTER all!

Carol - a very HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY to your DD! Hope that you get to enjoy some of this day with her!

Well....I have a REALLY busy day (work wise - no fun planned YET) so I'm not sure how often I'll get to check in....but wanted to wish everyone a great day and I'm sure I'll be back on tonight!

Lorraine - On my way to work this morning I saw a truck that read "Swimming Pool Specialists". It was turning around like it made a wrong turn. If they call you this morning and say they'll be late it's because they ended up in Rhode Island by mistake!!!
