What a great movie. Pete and I went tonight, his idea! It was totally awesome, 2 great ride scenes, (I'm not telling which 2, but they are very easy to spot) but I did not get to stay for the credits (he had enough), but go!!! There were lots of kids, I didn't hear any screaming or crying, it has some intense pirate/"good guy" sword fights, but only one kiss. It was just unbelievable!!!!

Sorry I didn't get all of Sadie in the picture. She just lies down and sleeps anywhere, she is the blind doggy. She has to be where I am most of the time, so she was there. I'll get both of them in a good pose one of these days.

Last chair tomorrow, maybe we will get the door put on the guest room, we took it off because it had a kitty door in it, and Pete was tired of seeing it. He bought a new door, it needs to be trimmed. All the rooms have now been refloored, except for the walk in closet. I have to move all my shoes (many, many, many pair) and a ton of other junk, so that will happen later.

Have a great evening, its already 1am eastern.

Did I mention that all of you need to go see POTC?

Good Morning Angels!
Love Liza, Terrible Depressing movie, don't rent it!

Lk, I am a member of Western PA Wheelmen's Club. It's a great Organization. The put out a newsletter with a calendar of scheduled rides all over the Area. We had 18 bikers on yesterday's ride. The next ride I am going on leaves Frick Park goes thru Southside and ends up in the Strip District for Bagels!

Since everyone is sharing their projects, thought I'd share mine with you!
Here is a photo of the baby quilt I made for my Godson, Jaden.

It's hard to see all the materials real well.
The Center square is white
The next is baby blue with the ABC's on it
A light green with little ducks
A blue with white clouds (which is how they painted his room!)
next to the green, a blue with stars and anchors
Now my favorite, next to the blue with white clouds, a darker blue with castles all over it!
The Last a dark blue with stars and moons
The Entire back of the quilt is the blue with white clouds.

They live in a log cabin, the quilt looks like it fits right in!!

Baby Quilt

Morning!

We sure have some creative people here......Marsha & Steph are decorators/re-decorators.....Diane is creating a whole new house....Sandi makes beautiful quilts......Laura makes beautiful jewelry......who have I missed???

Warm day......lots of baseball related activities........Matt's team must win today to remain in the tournament. Have a great day everyone!

Wow Sandi! That quilt is BEAUTIFUL!! & I've seen a lot of quilts...my MIL owns a business that designs quilting patterns & cross stitch patterns.
Marsha-You are doing a fantastic job!!! the chairs look great!
I have to recover the cornice boards over my bedroom windows...I hope they turn out as good as your chairs did!
Today will be spent cleaning up around the house & getting everything Megan needs for camp together. She leaves on Thursday so we'll do her shopping this afternoon.

Hi all... I was in a very grumpy mood yesterday so I stayed away until it faded. By the time I got out of my mood I was too busy to stop in :o

I hate to do this again (post and run that is) but we are having a party for my grandmother today for her birthday. I need o get over to my dad's soon to help. I hope you all have a great day!

And I have to say this, you all seem to be absolutely talented. My biggest talent is typing w/o looking at the keys and doing that rather quickly... hey it helps here :p But seriously the crafts & the like that you all have shown are AMAZING!!!

Well I really do need to go now. Take care all!!

Just stopping in for a quick hello. Leah and I are going to see My Fair Lady this afternoon with another mom and DD. I've heard it is a really good show with this cast. "Shane Donovan" from Days (also was the dad on The Nanny) is the lead.

Sandi, the quilt is beautiful! It makes a lovely keepsake. I love to cross stitch, but I haven't made anything for a long time.

E, Happy Birthday to your Grandma!!

Good luck to Matt today!

Yikes, gotta run!

hi

I'm trying to decide what to get DBF for our one year anniversay next month,he's getting a dvd he's been trying to find for some time and I'm working on something that is about our first year together

Just a quick check in to say I am feeling a bit better today. I think I have figured out on my own what I have.

We know I had a virus, because two blood tests showed very low white counts. This always says virus. The trouble was....What kind???? Wasn't the flu or a cold. Yesterday, the fever broke, but I became red all over!!!:o My skin feels hot all over, but doesn't itch. I told DH I thought it looked like when the kids were little and had roseola. I got on the net yesterday and looked up the symptoms for roseola. Yep, high fever for 4-7 days followed by a red rash. The rash is really just more like a sunburn look, but it definately covers my whole body! Of course, the thing that doesn't fit is that it usually effects children between the ages of 6 months and 3 years! Mayo said "occationally effects adults". Also said in severe cases the rash would last up to 3 days and cover not only the torso but may spread to the limbs and face. Yep...I have it ALL over! If this is supposed to make me feel young again, it isn't working!! It is a form of herpes, so it can lie dormant for years. I guess all the stress this summer brought it out!

Good to hear from you Diane, and glad that you're feeling a BIT better. I guess with what you're describing the only option you have is to get a lot of rest and let the virus run it's course. Please continue to take good care....we need to to get better and STAY better....NO RELAPSE ALLOWED!!!!

Valerie :-)

Glad you're feeling a little better Diane.

Good luck to Matt at today's game.

Have fun at My Fair Lady. I love that movie, so I'd love to see the play. I've been a DOOL fan off and on for years, so I know who you are talking about.

I love the quilt. We do seem to be a talented bunch.

Happy birthday to E's grandma. Have a great party.

I don't remember, did I comment on Marsha's chairs? I really like the new fabric. Looks great.

We played hookie this morning to take my mom and her boyfriend to the airport. We are taking a break this afternoon from all the work around the house. We are taking the kids to see PoC. Then we'll come back and get back to work. I'll check back later if I get a chance.

Hi!
Spent the afternoon so far getting all Meg's camp shopping done....went to Target & Walmart & I am now officially finished buying camp items!!!
Came home & gave the dog a bath...he just loves that:rolleyes:
and now I'm starting to think about what I'm gonna fix for dinner.
Gail-I hope Matt's team won!!!
Diane-Glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better!
LK-I hope you & Leah had a fantastic time at the play! I too have been a Days watcher on & off for years so I know who Shane is...seems like you can not watch a soap for a year & still know what's happening when you tune in:D
Happy Birthday to Elaine's Grandmother!
Melissa-I keep hearing how wonderful PoC is.....hope you guys enjoy it~
CS-I'm sure that DBF will love what ever you decide to give him!
Hi Valerie!!!!

A bigHAPPY BIRTHDAY! to your grandmother El!
She picked a VERY special day!;) If You'd told me you were having a party I would have come to Ohia!
Of course you'd think the Angel that threw a Columbus Zoo BD party for me last year would have invited me, but....:( :p ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to our own yepod!!!!!

and Elaine's Grandmother. What a great day it is.

I am being lazy today, did the last chair cushion (thanks for the compliments, BTW), got 3 rool up shades for the gazebo, maybe I will put them up in the am, it is too hot to work outside right now. And I have nothing else planned, except read.

CS, I agree, your DBF will love anything you give him for your anniversary.

Lars, I gave my dog a bath Friday night, he was stinky! He loves getting a bath, but will not get in the pool. Is Dylan better? How long will you be Megless?

Hey Angels!!!!! Let's all wish our very own TMWLT Yepod a Happy Birthday on the Congrats Board!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!!!

Marsha-I'll be Megless from next Thursday morning until Sunday evening. Only four days but I'll miss her! I'm gonna really be outnumbered around the house with DH & they boys...even Boomer (the dog) is a boy:eek:

Hey all, just got home and really don't have much time to catch up. It was a good day for my grandmother. I should have clarified that her birthday is tomorrow really but with all the family it was easier to celebrate today. But thanks for all teh good wishes for her. I'll have to call her tomorrow and tell her you all did that :)

John, wishing you the happiest birthday!!!!! I swear you should have come down here again to celebrate :p

Desperately in need of doing laundry now. I"ll be back later :)

PoC was amazing. It was very funny. I don't usually like action movies much, so this was a nice change of pace. I thought the special effects were great.

It's really hot here today. I left my sunglasses in the car during the movie and they were almost too hot to put on when we came out. And they were not in the sun or anything. It almost is enough to make a woman with hot flashes pray fall will arrive early.

Happy birthday John. Even if it is all your fault. ;)

Our dogs need a bath. Actually, they need grooming, too. I don't think I'll get around to it today though.

CS, do you have any ideas for the anniversary? I hate to admit it but our 19th anniversary is tomorrow and I don't have any fresh ideas for DH. I'm pondering how I might surprise him with something fun, but we agreed not to spend a bunch of money. I've wondered about giving him a set of coupons, each one corresponding with a letter of the alphabet. I'd have to hurry and get creative fast if I was going to come up with all those coupons in the next day, wouldn't I? I might have to get some help from the angels if I get stuck. Any other ideas?

Okay, I've been contemplating tomorrow. My mom is out of town, so the kids will be with us for the evening. Anything too romantic will have to wait until later, if you know what I mean. I'm throwing out the coupon idea and going with an anniversary gift basket. Here are the ideas I have come up with so far: champagne, 2 champagane glasses, a candle, massage oil, cheese, romantic cd. I'm thinking of putting a bunch of things in a pretty basket. What do you think?

DH and I are dieting, so candy would not be appreciated, even though it sounds wonderful. Any other ideas? I may not be able to find something at the last minute, so ideas would be appreciated.

just a idea:maybe something that ties in with your history as a couple.I got DBF for Christmas a video of Gone in Sixty Seconds(the movie we saw the night we named his car(Cage version)

Hmmm. I'll have to think on that one. A DVD might be a good idea. Just can't think which one. We've seen a lot in the years since we met. Wish I could remember our first movie or something. I could get him a CD from our early days together. I remember lots of significant music.

Tonight he is running a temp of 101. That might put a damper on our anniversary tomorrow. He's freezing and I'm burning up. Since I have hot flashes on my cancer med I sleep with a fan blowing on me. We are quite a pair tonight. I'm dreading going to bed because I know I'll be too warm.

Happy Anniversary to you Merry! Your idea of a gift basket sounds like a good one. I hope your DH gets better soon.

Marsha, when I was younger, my oldest brother had a German Shepard named Sadie. A male dog in the neighborhood got loose and "visited" her a few times, so we had a few litters of puppies to play with over the years.

My Fair Lady was excellent. The only bad things were that someone sitting close to me had very bad B.O., and the lady behind us insisted on singing along to every song. She wasn't loud, but it was just enough for me to notice and get annoyed. I paid to hear the professionals sing, not her!
