I've thought about DVC too but it's probably not in the cards for us right now. Of course if I bought that PowerBall ticket.....

True... very true! What dad wouldn't love two gifts???? I think DVC came up again because of my sister and also if we have kids, this will be our family vacation year after year and it will be easier if you have the room to begin with (IMO) I don't know though... I need to talk and think a lot on this one.

Elaine....finally got to go back and read the vacation saga - I agree.....when trying to plan with someone who seems to have an inflexible plan, separate celebrations seem the best choice! I'm glad you've been able to put the situation to rest for yourself....for me, the worst part of those types of issues in when things are in limbo! By the way....LOVE the new plates (not the dental work....those on the car!!!)!!!

Gail - LOVE the new photo of you and the rest of your troupe!!! It's nice to get to watch your "wee" ones grow (even if it IS online)!!!

CS - thanks for being so attentive to our "bumping" needs!

I have never considered DVC because we don't go that often. Sounds nice though.

DS and I were coming home from taking his cousin back to NJ. We were listening to Jimmy Buffet and he got to hear the classic "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Sc**w." What am I teaching him?

DD wants me to ask you all if you have any quick fixes for zits. Two weeks at camp and she was a little lax in her face prescription creams. Now senior pictures are Thursday. I can reschedule but I don't think she wants to. I can also call the dermatologist who she goes to. She asked me to ask you because "they know everything."

Hi Carol,
I'm pretty sure the photographer can touch up skin tone, zits, just about anything now that photos are digital. I've seen some examples in which a senior picture was touched up to change the kids haircolor because his parents didn't want to look at fuschia hair in the portrait that hung on their wall!
In fact, there was a guy in the back of the new picture in our signature that my friend kindly erased using a photo program.
Good luck to Sarah with her pictures.....I think I went for a few sittings before I chose one from the first one!

We watched "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" last night. What a cute movie!! Loved it!
Bad storms here last evening and more coming thru today.
Lost our power for a while here last evening, right when I was trying to make dinner!

Hi all... stopping in quickly. We are powerless right now. I stayed home since I've been up half the night due to storms... we have some damage to the roof (mostly because my husband didn't fix it the LAST time *grrrrrr*) but I think the rest looks okay. I am still a little shakey feeling today.... I felt so dang helpless last night I used to love storms but these are too much now. Sorry for the ramble.

I'll be back online once I get power again.

Sorry E, to hear about your roof. Now if you lived a little bit closer, I'd send my DH over to help you out!
He does mostly commercial roofing these days, but still gets residential calls, and with all this rain we've been having, the phone at the office has been ringing off the hook!! Why does everyone call the roofer WHILE it's pouring?? LOL
Cause when it's sunny outside, they forget about their leaky roof!

I have been excited about this since all the snow last winter. We go every year so I can pack in my sleep. Just starting with the laundry (Dirty clothes for all of you with dirty minds) now.

I am making lists for the kids to do something helpful while I am at work.

E! I'm glasd that you finally made a decision that you're comfortable with. It certainly sounds like it is the right one. I think you'll enjoy a trip to the world with your Dad far more.

I received my exchange box!!! John sent me a HUGE lime green box full of lime green goodies!! You should have seen the look on the guy at the post office when he picked up the box. It was priceless!!! I got lots of great lime green toys that the kids and I will all have fun with. There was also a pair of thongs (they fit perfectly!), a baseball cap, a little mouse bookmark, picnic supplies (paper plates and plate holders, bowls, cups, a big bowl, a freezer beer mug, martini glass, wine glass, tablecloth and a pump dispenser!) There was also several Disney beanies--figment (one of my very favourites characters!) Jewel and Lucky dalmations, and of course a Dopey dressed in Lime green!!! There was a little battery operated fan to help me keep my cool, and a bunch of soaps and shampoos from Disney. I've never stayed at an on site resort other than Fort Wilderness, and since they don't supply these goodies to your tent, I've never had the pleasure of trying them out, so I'm looking forward to trying the scent of Disney! I also got the cutest lime green boat that John personalized for me. It has little tags that say "Miss D Boat" on them!! I love it!!!!! There was also a supply of Alien Green paint samples and a little bag of Mickey confetti. Thank you again John!!!
