CS, where did you post your news? Can you repeat it here?

I was up at 5am, made coffee, went back to bed till 7. HArdly sleeping in. I have a few things to do today, and then I must work on my tan.

Alan, stay dry, that was some bunch of rain. We were watching the radar, once again my mother (Freeport FL) got a few sprinkles and my son (Atlanta) got slammed!

Kimmar, Happy Birthday to your son, aren't you the brave one for going to see the other mouse?

LTM, all angel boxes have been recieved. Carol is waiting for one last stragler, then we will get to "watch" her open them. I hope that last box get there soon.

I think LTM was referring to the original exchange...as of Sunday, there were still two that had not arrived...mine and Baboo's.

As for the Sun Goddess Exchange....I'm resending another to Carol today, it will go priority mail, NOT parcel post this time...and should be there by the weekend!

I've been to Europe, but never France. Never really had much desire to go. However, I would love to go to Paris Disney, so I say go for it! Let us know what you decide.

DD finished her botball tournament. They didn't win an award, but they had a lot of fun. She also said they got a lot of good ideas for next year's robot. She made a lot of new friends from all over the US.

I'm enjoying the fact that this is a slower week. I need to go shopping for my mother's birthday. It's the 5th and I haven't a clue what to get her this year. She's started collecting old postcards from Kansas City, but I don't know which ones she has. Wish I could think of something original, but I'm drawing a blank.

I can't decide what we are having to eat on the 4th. I know we are having watermelon. Usually we grill hamburgers. This year I need to consider that DH's cholesterol and triglycerides are high, so he is watching fat and eating less starch. Being the house diet policeman is a hard job, especially when you have 2 teenagers. Kabobs sound good, but my kids don't like them much. Maybe we'll do grilled chicken this year and I'll fix a fruit cobbler.

Merry, that botball challenge sounds like a lot of fun. My DS would enjoy that a lot.

Hoo boy, I have been trying to tidy up my guest/ computer room. I got some storage boxes and did a little, but I would rather be in the pool. The rest of the mess will have to wait.

Hi All!
I have been suffering all day long with major nose problems! I have gone through 2 full boxes of Kleenex & I'm blowing my way through a third! This allergy/summer cold thing is miserable!
DH got into TN this morning & it was raining so hard he couldn't read the road signs to see where he was going
I have a friend coming over tonight to do some beading but hopefully I'll be back to check in later.........

Any angels who would like to visit, come on out, I have a queen bed in the guest room, and a queen sleeper sofa in the LR. If you hurry, you can find out what Dry Heat really means. I am trying to tidy it up because it is a pig sty!!!

Lars, I HATE HATE HATE the flood that comes from who knows what. I lived on 2 shots a week for 10 years trying to keep my allergies in control. It was alosing battle. My son just called from Atlanta, he says it took him 2 hours to get to work because of the rain, he doesn't think he has ever see it rain so hard for so long. Tropical Storm Bill, he is a bad guy!

Did you find my explanation of botball? It's a contest where you build and program a robot, then compete to earn points in a game. Very fun and educational.

Lars, hope your allergies are better soon. I hate it when my nose gets messed up like that. Oklahoma is supposed to be one of the worst places you can live if you have allergies and our family has them bad.

I forgot to tell you all about my experience in the kitchen last night. DH couldn't find the tub of margarine, so I offered to find it for him. I bent over with my fanny in the air to get it from the bottom shelf. DH decided I already had it and was out of the way, so he forced the door shut ON MY HEAD!

I have a big bruise today on my temple. He either needs new glasses (because his sight is going if he can't see my huge bottom sticking up) or he is out to get me (come to think of it we just signed new updated wills - so maybe that gave him the idea?). What is your guess?

It's been a quiet day here today. The threat of thunderstorms made our weather radio go off a few minutes ago. Hope we aren't in for a night of severe weather.

A quick funny.....EB is in theatre camp for this 2 week session and they're doing "Little Shop of Horrors". I can't wait to see their show at the end of the session!
