A good summer afternoon all Angels ATMWLT!!!

I too am really missing the morning riddle starting my day!!!

My meeting this weekend went VERY well! Everyone had a good time celebrating our successes and anticipating a strong fall season as we introduce the "tweaking" to our plan! Yesterday was a bit exhausting as I had a team meeting in Danbury (which should have been an over-nighter) CT. I opted to some home at the end of the day (about 12:30 AM) so that I could get an early start on work/personal things in preparation for my vacation which starts officially tomorrow although I'm not heading down to the world until Saturday! Lots to do, but all for a very happy end!

LK - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Shawn....I'll surely keep him, his family and ALL the people whose life he touched specially in my thoughts and my prayers.....it sounds as though you really will be needing the "tim off" next week as well with all you've had to manage THIS week.....

Also, some double baby news for you all

A work colleague who I got to be great friends with in the 3 mths since I started working before she went for maternity leave has called in to work today to let us know she had a little boy on Sunday! Apparently she was in labour from Friday? By the sounds of things she is absolutely shattered but obviously her and her partner are very pleased They haven't got a name for him yet but 'Harry' is currently the favourite... watch this space!

Also, my favourite singer, Cerys Matthews has had a little girl - on Sunday also! Likewise no name has been decided yet but her and her husband are said to be delighted!

Wow, just typing all that happy news really makes me smile Congratulations to them both!!

Hey Angels,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAIL!!!!!!

nothing like getting back from vacation and getting right back to work. I had to go pick up the lumber this morning and now tonight, I have to go back to Concord to return the "wrong" stuff and get the "right" stuff.....This little 12x16 deck project is becoming a royal PIMA.

I started packing today, and realized I have not gotten my DH his anniversary gift or card yet!! Either I have to get it down at WDW or sneak it along with me. Of course, then the question is...Will he remember to do the same??? Doubtful! My birthday is 3 days after our anniversary, so he usually does one gift for both. I always tease him that I get short changed by having the two so close together!

Well, NJ is in panic with the outtage. Alot of northern NJ is without power....we're central and we blipped but we're okay. My BIL's rehersal dinner is cancelled tonight so the kids will walk down the aisle without practise. Oh, well....

I hope everyone is safe and sound. My sister is caught in NYC right now and I'm nervous. She's okay....my mom has spoken with her but we don't know when she'll get home safely.

Life.......What a long, strange trip it is......

Hoping everyone is safe and well......sounds like lots of our friends are affected by this power outtage.

Life is a long, strange trip Gina. For those of us who remember the blackout of '65 the world is a lot scarier now with a lot more possibilites for why the lights went out.

I remember tha night clearly because when our lights first went out my dad blamed it on me because I was spinning the dial of the TV looking for Bozo the clown. How much has changed since then.

Oh great pictures Marsha & Steph!! So glad to see you both all happy

My thoughts are with all around the great lakes area... about 1/3 to 1/2 of Ohio is out and it reaches up into MI (around Detroit). THey are talking about it constantly on TV since this affects near by me. I hope all area safe and will get power back soon.

DH was just talking about puting a back up generator in the new house. Maybe it is a good idea after all!

Diane, we were thinking the same thing ourselves... after all the power we've lost this summer, I think it would be a wise idea. My dad loves that thought too... he has ideas for rewiring our entire house

We can get a used one that used to be in one of the security monitoring centers. When they close down the Milwaukee center, DH is going to drive over there and pick it up. It weighs about 1/2 a ton!
