Just booked Bermuda cruise for April. - What are on the must see and do list? We have 2 days in Bermuda.

There is not much at the port. We did the van tour which was nice. Also there is a beach club that was popular. The next day we did the catamaran snorkel trip.

We sailed there on the Disney Magic this year in October from NYC.

If it is your first time there take the $7 mini buses to Horseshoe Bay. When you exit the ship just ask the locals directing people for the buses and they will direct you to one. The beach is beautiful there. If you don’t have young kids with you definitely walk down the beach to the left beyond the main beach and explore the other secluded beaches along the shoreline hiding in the different rock areas.

We recommended checking out the Clocktower shops and the Pharmacy store in the dock area if you are looking for souvenirs.

Here is a link to the Bermuda webcam. I had my mom watching us arriving to dock and was able to wave to her through the camera. She was able to spot us on the front of the ship since our ship docked front in.

A van tour of the island can take in a bunch of the little sites and some of the bigger ones.

The island has a bunch of caves - commercial access at Crystal Cave. Public access at Tom Moore’s Jungle.

St George‘s is the original capital and is hundreds of years old. On that end (Eastern) if the island is also Tobacco Bay.

I think of Bermuda as a honeymoon and golf destination. And beaches, which will have relatively cold / nippy water in April. It is the Atlantic - think SC beach temperature. Not pushing a lot of adventure activities to cruise ships - No ziplining. No ATV tours.

They do have rum. So rum tasting boat trips.

The capital, Hamilton, is about a 30-minute ferry ride from the port (~$10 RT). It is also the transportation hub. By bus, it is 45-60 min. Taxis are expensive. Rental cars are not available. Restaurants, government, shopping. Colonial architecture along Front Street.

There is a restaurant and brewery at the port. We rode down there specifically for Sunday lunch (we were staying at Horseshoe Bay). The port was attractive as far as cruise ports go. The National Museum is located there, as is a useful pharmacy, a bakery and shops.
