We're also on the 10/4 sailing. I'm looking forward snorkeling in Bermuda, this will be our first time there.

We are also booked on the 10/4 sailing. We are not 100% sold on it. It's a wait and see game. Too much going on but would love to keep the date. Ocean water being warm enough for swimming is also one of my concerns. I definitely like the water temperature on the warm side

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm going to keep my eye on THIS October's weather in Bermuda, and make a decision based on that.

I'm currently double booked... we are on the 10/5 2 night out of San Diego AND the 10/4 Bermuda... not sure which I will keep. I'd like Bermuda but we'd barely have enough vacation time and I'd like to spend time in NY while we are there really. :/ Does anyone know how the crossing to Bermuda is during Oct? Are the seas rough?

We just came back from a sailing to Bermuda on Anthem of the Seas. It wasn't super hot, it was maybe 72 one day and 75 the next - a local told us that May weather is similar to October weather on the island. Water was cold.
Sun was strong though, lots of people walking around with a sunburn, it just didn't seem like you would burn..
We would love to go back to Bermuda with Disney but the price for the exact same itinerary is $1800 more than what we paid on Anthem.

Several years ago when we went to Bermuda in October with Royal, the seas were extremely rough. A crew member said their room was deck 2 and was like sleeping in a washing machine. I hope that was rare since we booked 10/4 DCL Bermuda.

Atlantic water temps are much warmer in the Fall than Spring, as it's had the full summer season to warm up after the winter time and temps haven't cooled down much yet. Just looked at a Bermuda water temp monthly chart. July, August, Sept. average is around 83F, June and October is 78F. May is 73F.

Lol, we visit a beach in Maine in the summer--so all these water temps seem really warm to me! The highest it ever gets there is about 66F in August!

I should clarify my post, we were told the weather in May and October is similar in Bermuda. Not water temps. I was just saying water was cold, and it makes sense it's warmer at the end of the summer.
