Hello. My family and I have been to disney 5 times. But I think we all want a change. We absouluty love the Disney atmosphere and feeling we get when down there. But we also might just want to change up our yearly vacation. So we are considering Bermuda. My kids never been out of the country and Bermuda is beautiful! So what should I plan on doing? I want to only do both, but we gotta pick one! Thanks!

We've thought about Bermuda too and would gladly cruise there...maybe in a few years when my youngest is older. You can cruise there from NYC or Baltimore!

They are two totally different vacations that can not be compared. We love tropical vacations but also love DIsney. What about taking a family vote....have everyone write down their choice and let majority rule this trip!

Bermuda is absolutely beautiful, I love it there. They have pink sand beaches, most notably Horseshoe Bay:

Yes I have that same problem, We have been to Disney twice a year for 8 years I think we stayed at all but 6 hotels there. My wife is dieing to try something different like the Bahamas. The problem we get into, is that when we ask the kids "What do we do when we get there ? My wife and I would lay at the beach all week ......but my 2 daughters 19 &15 and son 8 would go stir crazy.........It is a nice problem to have Disney or Atlantis....... my kids voted on staying/relaxing at Disney Hotel (AKV- Dvc owners) and visit Busch Gardens , Universal Studios and Sea World ..........I can live with that its something different and a little cheaper for me

If you like to golf, sightseeing, to be without the kids for a while do Bermuda. I have to be honest, I love Bermuda. The Island, the people, it is a couples ultimate resort:cool1:. (Elbow Beach, if you have bucks, stay in the cabanas poolside.) If not, Disney Carribean Resort or even better ($) the:cool1: Pol Resort.

Bermuda 3x
Disney 14x

Well, I have the oposite problem, I LIVE in Bermuda, so when I go on vacation it is off season (because who wants to go to a beach location when you LIVE on an island) and we try to go to different places. In just over 2 weeks we will going to Savannah, just because we have never been there before. But next year(as you can see by my ticker count down) we will be going to Disney. :goodvibes

We would go to Bermuda in a second! We took a cruise from Boston for our honeymoon almost 10 years ago. I would love to go back. It would have to be a cruise since DH will not fly.
But we loved everything about it, the beaches were just amazing! OOOOOH now I want to go feel the sand and see the beauty of it all again

GO check out Bermuda!! You've been to Disney quite a bit, check out something else, Disney will still be there next year!!

If beach vacation appeal to you, then go for it!

Personally I don't like that sort of vacation so I wouldn't go (one day on castaway cay was enough beach for me), but that's me.

You must like the idea of Bermuda otherwise you wouldn't be considering it, and given how many times you've been to Disney, going to Bermuda sounds like a good deal.

We had the same dilemma this year. We been to Disney 6 times, and I've always wanted to do a 'beach' vacation...so the kids can see turquoise waters (not like up here when we go to the Cape...kinda greenish/brown)

So this year, we are doing our Disney trip (kids vote) but not for the 10-12 days that we usually do. Instead, we are going for 7 days, and doing a 4 night cruise from Pt Canaveral to the Bahamas.....(my vote). We have never been on a cruise as a family, so it should be fun.

My DH and I have been to Bermuda a couple of time, and it is really beautiful.
Great place for couples, but like a previous post said, the kids would go stir crazy after a few days. Also, like Disney, I found Bermuda to be very expensive once you're there.

Another Bermuda vote.
Enchantment of the Seas will be homeporting in Baltimore this spring, and offers some 5 nighters to Bermuda (good thing is they are docked for 2 days).
Also the Explorer of the Seas which sails year round out of Cape Liberty in NJ also has some 5 night sailings to Bermuda. This ship will price out a little more but it's MUCH nicer. Has the ice skating rink, royal promenade, etc.

I went to an all inclusive "family" in Jamica, and Altlantis as well. Both were way more relaxing. I cannot sit still. I would vote for a cruise and a few days in Disney if it were longer than 5 nights. :confused3

I've been to Bermuda several times, but not since having kids, so it's been a while.

It's very beautiful, very relaxing. I intend to go back some day, but not till my kids get a little older. We haven't done a cruise. I think that is because when I've been in Bermuda and the cruise ships were in, the crowds in town would become very large. So I guess I just assume that I would be traveling with the crowd. I would think a cruise would have good activities for the kids, though.

Some of the bigger hotels there would probably have lots of activities, too. We have always stayed at smaller resorts, which were more quiet, but were lovely.

It is entirely different than WDW- I love them both. They are my two favorite vacation destinations.

Is a Bahama vacation something to do with kids or it is more of an adult vacation? I have a 16 year old daughter.
