Benefits/Non benefits staying on site

No right or wrong answer, just different ways of doing things.

The extra room/privacy/cooking facilities of a villa we find is our preferred choice, however being on-site you do have entertainment/restaurants etc right there so it all comes down to personal choice.

Have never stayed on site, but we are doing so next month a split Boardwalk/private villa stay - maybe something worth considering.

Nice one Tim :thumbsup2

We love staying on-site and can only give an opinion on this as I haven't stayed elsewhere :) All of the benefits listed within this thread are great to have. We find being able to pop to parks for a couple of hours a great benefit. We usually go to EMH and then back to our hotel for a swim and then back out again. We love staying in the Boardwalk area especially being able to walk to MGM or Epcot. Staff at Disney Resorts are always friendly and willing to do extra for you.

Enjoy whatever you choose :)

We have stayed both off-site (Holiday Inn Nikki Bird & Travelodge on 192) and on-site (several times at All Stars and Pop Century) and we always prefer to stay on-site. I think the one thing that stands out for us is the transportation, at both the off-site hotels they laid on a late night bus back and it was always a mad dash to get it and it was always packed.

Being on-site we always take advantage of EMH's, being able to make 10 days worth of ADR's when it is 180 days till our holiday and having that 'Disney Feeling' continuing in our resort. :)
