Welcome back everybody who's come home, and to those that are there now, it sounds like you're having a great time! I just spent the evening catching up with all the dining review updates that I've missed in the last 10 days since I've been working non-stop. Such yummy food porn!:goodvibes

We leave on Sunday for our cruise, and I haven't even started packing yet, and my house is an absolute disaster....but tomorrow is my last day at work, so I have all day on Friday to clean, launder and pack, so I'm not too stressed (yet)!

Glad to hear that everyone is having a wonderful time and those who are back arrived safely! It's so weird having us all scattered about!

We finalized plans (finally) for our trip tonight. My aunt is not going, so our dates are now Dec.16-23 (so dd only misses 2 days of school). And get this, we have decided not to stay onsite. :scared1: Why? Well, in poking around looking at after Christmas dates, I also looked at our current dates on lastminutetravel and got the Hilton Downtown Disney for $62 a night! The more we thought about it, the more we liked the idea of being across from DTD and how our plans are going to be to take a rest each day; also the fact of being in an inside corridor hotel. We still get emh at the Hilton, and we hadn't planned on using the buses with my mom, anyway. Very exciing!

Except now I have a boatload of stuff to cancel and change tomorrow. Oh, yeah, and MVMCP tickets to purchase!

oh... staying at DTD will be close enough!!!

Remember to go to the Poly to watch the fireworks an extra night AND if by some chance the MVVCP gets rained out... talk to them to see if you can get them switched for another night.. they sometimes do that...

Ohhhh You'll be closer to Ghiardelli!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Jamie - that rate at the Hilton would make us switch too! I can't get anywhere near that on their website, even with a AAA discount. Good for you!

Michelle - your "boys" are very cool, indeed! Thanks for the video link.

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Just checkin in....

We need Bendy home... we suck at keeping a thread going... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Is Bendy the only one who orders food from Williams Sonoma?

I really want to order some Halloween treats...

That is awesome! Are you going to have a car? If you do, just know that the DTD Hilton charges for self parking. Wouldn't want you to get caught off guard by that :goodvibes

We're still trying to figure out what to do with our holding points. We were looking at the 19th -23rd, but I can only get a studio for the 19th & 20th and a 1br for 22nd, but nothing is availabe for the 21st. Not a studio, 1br or 2br ANYWHERE. I'm also not very fond of crowds, so we may just go in January around MLK. The kids have Monday & Friday off that week, so DS would only miss 3 days and DD will be exempting her exams that week and won't need to go to school that week anyways. Of course, we won't be able to book that for another month, because we can only use holding points 60 days out.:headache:

Yup... she does... :goodvibes

We're not that bad at keeping it going :rolleyes1 we just need Bendy home for food porn

btw, how are you feeling today? any better?

Crappy... apparently I slept through yet another Yankee loss, but not being a Yankee fan... :dance3:

Beware of MLK weekend... I hear it's crazy that weekend too...

Please don't talk about rain!!!! We'd be going to MVMCP on the 17th and the only one left would be the next night when I've got the Candlelight Processional booked! Hoping that dh and I can do the fireworks thing for a date night one night if we're not too tired.

Jamie - that rate at the Hilton would make us switch too! I can't get anywhere near that on their website, even with a AAA discount. Good for you!

I just couldn't turn it down! They had the Regal Sun Resort at DTD for $52 a night. I would only book them if I could figure out which hotel they were offering....I'm so not a risk taker! :rotfl:

Yes, we're driving down, so I factored in the self park fee and the parking at Disney and we're still coming out $150 ahead of the 40% off at Coronado Springs! I was just getting so nervous, too, of the size of that resort and getting my mom around it if we ever wanted to go to the food court, etc. Plus the interior doors at the Hilton just make me feel better if mom and dd stay behind one night while we go out. I think we get two bottles of water out of the that resort fee, too...:rotfl2:

If it makes the decision easier about when to go for your trip, the crowd calendar has gone down to 8's from 10's Dec. 19-24th. :rolleyes1

Beware of MLK weekend... I hear it's crazy that weekend too...

I remember from my time living up there, Upstate doesn't root for anything from the city

I know MLK can get busy, but they have that Monday and the following Friday. Hopefully most people will have come the Friday before and leave on Mon or Tues  It's a thought anyways....

DH came up with another idea today. He's afraid to plan the Jan trip in case one of the kids gets sick before then (DD can only miss 7 days of school or she'll fail with a 100% in class) so he was thinking we should use the holding points and go to Disney's HHI for DD's sweet 16 in 2 weeks and take her girlfriends with. I have no idea what we're going to do :confused3

:scared1: I really don't want to do the crowds, and I don't want to switch rooms/resorts 3 times.....but I love all the Christmas stuff and the kids wouldn't miss any school....

Guess we'll just wait and see what happens. I'm sure we'll have 6 more ideas before bedtime tonight :rotfl:

Hi Y'all,

We're home. :sad1: We had a bumpy flight into Nola last night, but arrived all in one piece.

We had the best time EVER on this trip! Brenda's party was lots of fun! We really enjoyed meeting everyone! We also had lots of dinners & driniking with my friends from other threads. Great friends, good food & too much to drink made for a fabulous vacation. :goodvibes

Welcome home Shovan!!!

So do we actually have to wait until Bendy comes home to bribe SOMEONE for pictures from the party????? :lmao:

Well... I'm starting my night off with a fever...

& I'm sure part of it is because I'm sick... but 3 weeks on WW and I'm down 7 lbs!!!!!

sorry bout the fever but congrats on the 7lbs :woohoo:

Thanks much!!!

Of course I just got back from brunch (my weekly treat) and killed my 35 extra points with some eggs benny... :rolleyes1 (it WAS so good...)

Thank God that WW is making ice cream... when I first went on WW back in the '80's they had nothing... I am in :lovestruc with the 2 point ice cream sandwiches and the 100 calorie packs of cookies I have convinced myself that they are like candy... the Stella D'orro chocolate breakfast treats are really good. :thumbsup2

FRIENDIES!!!! :grouphug:

We are home ... boo! We are older and fatter but very happy. :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Had a lovely trip - the cake was awesome and I pranced and squealed and clapped my hands like a little girl - we loved meeting so many DISers during our visit. Have a goodly amount of food porn to share but I fear some will be disappointed because we ended up not going to about half of the meals we'd planned because we were just having too much fun in Epcot.

I'm sad that we won't be back again until at least 2011 but we have so many wonderful memories to relive that it will help ease the post-trip blues.

Wish everyone could have been with us last Saturday, but we were thinking about you guys! :goodvibes
