I will have to look for the repeat ... we are nostalging out on Woodstock gooftage.

:rotfl2:

I mean footage. :lmao:

I was still in the womb when it took place but I love love love the music. :goodvibes

I could have gone.... :hippie:

But the thought of all those hippies kept me away... :rotfl2:

I have a theory ... totally unproven ... that people fall into one of two categories:

The Who

or

Led Zepplin

Usually people who like one group will also like the other, but everyone picks one over the other as well.

I am a bigger fan of The Who, while Jay is a bigger Zepplin fan. I am high-strung, irritable, and cheesed off about everything (a walking heart attack just waiting to happen) ... Jay on the other hand is laid back, never worries about anything, and is mellow to the point of coma. :rotfl2:

I think the muscial preferences are telling. :lmao: But maybe I've had one too many drinks tonight. ;)

I am not seeing Three Dog Night in your choices, Miss Brenda. :rotfl:

Actually, I prefer The Who and myBob and our 23 year old DD love Led Zepplin. I am not high strung and usually am pretty easy-going, but can be instigated to riot on the right day at the right time. Bob and Kristin are more high strung and irritable. So... not sure what that does to your theory.

Well, I'm not really a fan of either of them....but when I was younger, I was always fascinated by the movie Tommy....so I guess I would have to pick The Who. And I too, am a walking bundle of nerves and worries....so I guess I help to prove your theory!

I have been drinking a liitle tonight. And it is not wine! I know you all are shocked. We have a local micro-brewery that was having a sale on their returnable "growlers" so I hot-footed it over there to pick one up:

Elin, I thought that moonshine was only found in the NC mountains....I didn't know you could get it all the way up there!:lmao:

Seriously, that is one big bottle of beer!

It does look like moonshine, doesn't it? Kristin and I were giggling our way out of the brewery. :rotfl2: But it is a little over 67 oz. of beer, or about the same as a 6-pack. And it will stay fresh through the weekend. Not a bad deal for the $6 growler and then the $6 fill. When we take it back they will replace the container for free and we can have any of their beers put into it for $6-$14, depending on which one we choose.

Elin, I love three dog night! I love a lot of music from that era ... :thumbsup2

Best "Eat to the Beat" concert, ever. My kids thought I had grown another head. They still talk about how odd it was to see their mother standing up with her hands in the air, clapping and singing along. Wish one of them had thought to take photos!

My FIL had to have a procedure similar to that. And yes, men are horrible patients. My Mom's theory is that because they used to be the "hunters" they obsess over every little injury because they always feel they should be at their peak. They just get miserable and uber cranky. Women's bodies are always changing (bloating, shrinking, swelling, gassy, stretching, birthing...) so we all take being injured/sick easier because women are never "really well".:upsidedow

I hope you got some evening wine.

You'll have many more excuses for a Disney trip now.:goodvibes

ok; i can't help but chime in...while i love them, men are the absolute worst patients. while i have many stories, starting with the time i gave my then husband-to-be strep and i literally thought he'd die--i can't get over the time he (after he was my husband) got an actual diagonisis of "almost walking pneumonia". yes, the true diagnosis was "almost walking pneumonia". obviously, the doctor was another man, and obviously, the doctor had a prescription that cost $150 with insurance. i told my sick husband to "walk his pneumonia" back to the drug store and get the $10 script for penicillin.

:lmao:

As someone who's had multiple bouts over the years with strep and one nasty case of pnuemonia two weeks before my hubby's brother got married I can sympathize with your DH to a point. Then again ... I only missed two days of work even with my lungs filled with gunk, so I don't sympathize too much.

Women are much tougher from an endurance standpoint than men are, in my completely uninformed opinion.

EDITED: I realize I just made a rather sweeping generalization there ... not trying to offend any tough guys out there. :goodvibes Everyone has different thresholds so I don't mean to marginalize someone else's misery.

For example ... Jay rarely gets headaches, but when he does it knocks him flat. I, on the the other had, get them several times a week, so unless it's a migraine it's no big deal ... almost like annoying background noise. But that doesn't mean that his headache isn't the worst thing he's had to deal with in two years. ;)

Since I can't sleep because of a knotted up muscle on my shoulder blade, I thought I'd post my adr list. This wasn't the pleasant conversation I had envisioned with dh, not because of disagreement of the restaurants, but because he needed a "break". "rolleyes2" While we were in the living room, dd came in wanting to practice her piano (she just started this week). That led to her frustration, whining, us trying to help, tears, and dh explaining he just wanted to watch TV for a while and needed a break from the planning--yeah we had gotten to the third adr choice by this time. :rotfl:

Here's the line-up for now:

12/15 Arrive and probable CS dinner at Pepper Market.
12/16 MK day CHH for lunch and 'Ohana for dinner.
12/17 AK day CS for lunch and Boma for dinner.
12/18 Epcot day Candlelight Processional Le Cellier lunch. Snacks and drinkypoos later after the 5:45 show. (end of dh's input last night) If can't get LC, dh requested Coral Reef--if he doesn't show more interest in planning I'm going with my pick of Rose and Crown.
12/19 MK day, sleep in if hours open till midnight like last year. Grand Floridian Tea Room for lunch then MK. Casey's for dinner?
12/20 DHS day Sleep in, Kona breakfast. Kouzzina dinner then back to DHS for Osbourne lights and emh if it follows last year's schedule.
12/21 Epcot last day :sad1: Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway. Either eat around the world early dinner or Rose and Crown, because I want Sticky Toffee Pudding.
12/22 Leave for home.

I hope your shoulder feels better soon!! Oh, I can SO commiserate with those rolling eyes/leave me in peace "discussions!" Your ADRs (in their current form) look good to me. We might overlap our trips by a day or two so maybe a Who/Hav (us) meet could be arranged. Even if it is for a drink somewhere around the World!

Poor Whogirl... tell her that if she practices a little each day it won't be so bad.

Rose & Crown for lunch, Jamie ... go for it! Although, having said that I am little worried because their on-line menu at WDW . com seems pretty sparse compared with what it was last October when we last dined there. I'm hoping that we are pleasantly surprised this year by equally yummy and varied menu choices.

And dinner at Casey's? Is there any better dinner in the MK? Have your fabulous dog (with goopy "cheese" sauce) and then go over to the Main Street Bakery for dessert. YUM!!! :goodvibes

EDIT: hope your shoulder feels better. Don't know if you've ever tried it, but Advil PM works wonders for me when I have those kind of aches and pains.

So what's eveyone got planned this weekend?

We're busier than we expected to be. Tonight we have the baseball game and it's an early start at 6:15pm ... playing the Padres. Hopefully it will be a good game - no rain delays this time! :cool1:

Tomorrow we're meeting the parental unit and Guest X and Guest Y at Schlafley's Tap Room for dinner ... early dinner at 4:30PM because that's how Grimace rolls. I'm pumped only because we haven't been to the Tap Room in years and it's one of our favorite places (a long drive - 45 miles - so we obviously don't go often) to eat and drink. Great microbrewery beer and food fashioned after an English pub.

I will take my camera and hopefully have something posted on the blog later this week. Our wine tasting is on Thursday so my fingers are gonna be busy.

Guest Y called me back last night about 9:30 and seemed tepidly interested in a signature dinner at the Wave. Too late, I told him ... all sold out.

"Really?" says he. "When did they start taking reservations?"

"Tuesday morning. I'd guess they were sold out within 48 hours."

"There are a lot of food freaks out there, huh?"

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I had a bunch of replies, but the stupid thing locked up on me and I lost all of it

A quick recap from a brain that has not had coffee yet:

If you're sick I hope you're feeling better soon :goodvibes
Men are generally horrible patients, I'm sure there's a good one out there but I haven't met him yet (male patient, not man)
Too young for Woodstock, don't really care for the Who or Zepplein :rolleyes1

Ok, that's all I remember, need coffee :surfweb:

doesn't care for Who or Zep? :scared1:

Ah well, if we all liked the same things it would be a boring world. :goodvibes

I'm bummed about the Wave ... I was all set to try something new and expensive and thought for sure if there was one signature dinner that would still have an opening it would be that one.

I will say, I freaking hate the hoops you have to jump through just to find out if something is open. It's driving me crazy. Just look the darn thing up ... is that so hard?

"early dinner at 4:30PM because that's how Grimace rolls."
That made me snort laugh! :lmao:

The Wave is sold out? Jason and I were still thinking we might get to do that one .. oh well...

OK! I need coffee
