Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

WOW- that's a crazy, crazy story!! It makes no sense!! How can someone sneak in, and why weren't they tossed out on their sneaky behinds?? :sad2: You sound like you made the best of it- but I am sooo sorry that happened to you on your anniversary.

Brenda - I would have been sobbing all the way home. I don't deal with that kind of thing well. I give them the "Stinkiest Business in Stinktown" Award.
I'd WANT to believe them about the free meal, but I'd be afraid they'd conveniently forget, in the same way they conveniently gave away my table. Hmph.

I cried on Sunday because I didn't want to ruin my makeup. :rotfl2:

And I think they will forget, too.

That whole situation was just the stinkiest of the Stinktown stinks. :sad1:

You could have joined me and Mr. J at Raglan Road, the other one, not the Orlando one. Not that it was a gourmet meal, but they did honor our reservation. The fact that the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night probably helped a whole lot too! :rotfl:

Elin, that's a great idea. I think I mught just do that. Thanks for taking the time to read and for the suggestion. Hope today finds you and Bob doing well ... haven't seen much on facecrack lately so I hope his recovery is progressing even more quickly than you hoped.

Keep your collective fingers and toes crossed around 1:45 on Friday afternoon... Bob is have a modified barium swallow evaluation done at the hospital. We are hoping for the go-ahead for some real food in the mouth!! His physical therapy is going better than hoped too. If things go well on Friday there is every probability that home health will discharge him to outpatient therapy at the hospital. It is what he needs as they can better target the neurological issues and get him even further along.

Same here! Sounds like promising news Elin!

We're crossing fingers & toes; keeping those prayers and good thoughts coming. Bob has made such wonderful progress, my money's on him passing the evaluation Friday! ;)

What is the first real food he's going to request? :cloud9:

Hugs to you both. :hug::hug:

Fingers crossed for Bob's test to be passed with flying colors!
Sending some pixie dust! :wizard:
Thanks for the update Elin.

Hope Bob's test goes well! Thinking of you all (and crossing everything) !

Bob says his first request is for my spaghetti sauce. However... I doubt that he will be slurping down pasta and red sauce tomorrow night. We will have to wait to see what consistency/thickness he can manage. Then he can choose! Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone!

At least he knows what he wants!!! That's a good sign!!!

I'd have put Lasagna in a blender and have had them put it in my feeding tube... ;)

We have put lots of stuff in that tube, but I do believe that lasagna would have plugged it up no matter how much we changed the consistency! :rotfl: Besides... he wouldn't have been able to taste it. I think that is what he misses the most. Poor guy. Hoping today brings him some upbeat news on that subject!

Elin, I hope things are going well for Bob right now!! :goodvibes

I just realized I haven't logged in here since March 31. That's pitiful. :sad2: I have done drive by skimming, though.

Just a quick update to let you all know that Bob's outcome today was not as we had hoped. Still nothing by mouth. Six more weeks of therapy and a re-test in 6 weeks. As he said, "another bump in the road." thanks for your thoughts!!
