Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

I have been known to sit on ceremony.

I have been looking at Matthew the Intoxicated Tropical Storm. He is a depression now. They say alcohol is a depressant. I think he is stuck in Guatemala and won't make the party in Florida next weekend. Aw too bad. But the happy tent is safe

I'm not touching the Cialis tubs. (Literally, I wouldn't touch them)

Just found volume 4! Sitting here drinking a Sam Adams Octoberfest, and enjoying catching up with the friendies. Life is good. :goodvibes

I thought I read somewhere it came with a butler and maid as well as a personal chef. Did I miss something??

How many does it sleep? Cause you know... I want to know if my aerobed is a deluxe one...

I'm in! It's not my favorite drink but it's on the menu this evening! and the madness comes naturally!

(I want your ghiardelli...:rolleyes1)

Welcome welcome welcome to some new friendies and some old! :grouphug:

I know some of you here have shipped items to your resort ... would you mind giving me the ins and outs because we will have to ship our costumes down - they take up too much space in our luggage otherwise.

Thanks very much!!

And ... I still have 5 buttons left if anyone is interested. If not that is OK - we will take 'em to WDW and trade for food!! :rotfl2:

My costume is my carryon...sorry, but I never ship anything.

we have too many pieces and the fabric for Jay's stuff is heavy ... it will take up too much space in our regular luggage so we don't have a choice this time.

When I had things shipped I made sure my name and reservation number and arrival date were on the box a couple places and when I arrived the front desk was able to hand me my box.

I'm considering not taking it home though. I don't think I'll ever wear it again. But it took such a long time to assemble back in 2007.

Did you use UPS or FedEx or USPS?

According to a CM that frequents the YC/BC board, you should send it by USPS, not UPS. It goes directly to your resort.

Here is what I did with the booze (which I now know was illegal!)

Disney's Beach Club Resort
1800 Epcot Resort Blvd
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

hold for: Elin XXX
arr. 10/01/10 resv. # 4000xxxxxxxxxxxx
Elin XXX

ETA: apparently if you send it any other way it goes to Central Receiving and they have to charge you a handling fee to deliver it to the resort. USPS delivers it directly to the resort. One of my boxes was delivered at 2:35 this morning!

I'm here! Sadly totally sober tonight! I know it's shocking, but I'm really trying to drop some of this weight before the booze & gluttony Fest.

Funny I was coming here to ask Elin how she shipped the wine, I was thinking that instead of buying high priced wine in the Fest Market, I'd ship some of our wine club good stuff.

So is that illegal? :confused3

According to a poster on the F&W Fest thread it is. So, I broke the law twice this week! :teeth:

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Merchandise Operations will not ship alcoholic beverages through the Home Delivery or Resort Delivery programmes (which includes all wine bottles sold at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival).

For this year's Festival, you will only be able to carry the wine bottles with you, or have them sent to a Package Pickup station located in the Gift Shop at the Future World entrance to Epcot, or the World Traveller Gift Shop located at the International Gateway entrance in World Showcase.

You are more than welcome to arrange shipping on your own outside of the Disney-provided services. However, please note that it is a violation of Federal Law to ship alcoholic beverages via the U.S. Postal Service. Most private couriers do also have restrictions on shipping alcohol as well. Finally, it should be noted that the State of New Hampshire requires that persons shipping alcoholic beverages to that State possess a valid permit issued by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission.

I wrapped every bottle in bubble wrap and packed it with old towels and more bubble wrap. I think it was so well wrapped that they wouldn't have even heard the wine sloshing around in there! Anyway, live and learn! It is shipped. Half of it has arrived.

Just for the record I have shipped booze via UPS and USPS and never had any problems. I have also had people ship booze to me the same way ... not saying it's still probably not illegal somehow but really, if Elliot Ness wants to come after me for that, then the US government is really paying attention to the wrong things. ;)

Thanks Elin!! I owe you!! :-)

Exactly!
I understand why Disney won't ship it for us but still won't stop me.
