just a quick chime-in and run. I thought Coraline in 3-D was visually the most beautiful movie I have ever seen.
I thought last nights Oscars were the funniest I have ever seen (cept why did they give poor RPatz the only left-over hideously scripted pat award giver speech????) I will definitely NOT rent the reader.
I loved how they gave nods to people who
go see movies FINALLY. I thought it was down to earth and not nearly as boring as it usually is.
I know you guys are eating well over here!!! Lemme see if I have a pic to add..
Here is my paultry Christmas Brunch shot - I am a big Semi-Homeade type'a girl. Cept my semi-homeade often merges with my WT side. I get by.
I'm actually embarrassed to post this as it is so not fancy that it borders rude But, I'm gonna anyway. Please look passed the awful presentation and know that it tasted good (if you have a budget.. if you don't then this would be hell on a plate)
Pictured clockwise starting at the Grapes.
1) Grapes.
2) Mini Pancakes individually whip-creamed and syruped. 1/2 had fresh boysenberries and they were actually able to be finger-food as such.
3) Sausage Balls - these are the piece d'resistance. Yumm-E. (not O... E). Seriously, if you take nothing away from a good WT brunch, try these little things. They will not disappoint. They're sorta like that chinese chicken salad made with top ramen.. you say to yourself, WHAT?? how could this be good?? But it is.
Jimmy Dean Sausage balls Ingredients
2 lbs Sausage
1/2 cup Onion chopped
1 1/2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup Celery chopped
4 cups Cheddar cheese grated 1/2 tst Garlic powder
Instructions for Jimmy Dean Sausage balls
Mix all ingredients and form into 1" balls. Bake 15 min. on an ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown. These can be frozen uncooked. Also can use as a stuffing for mushrooms.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: (if you care) - I prefer these things more on the bread/biscuit side than the meaty-ball side so I always use 1.5 to 2 times more bisquick. I also bake them longer. They're done when they look done and overdone when they start to burn. About 30 min instead of 15, I'd say. They're better that way IMHO.
4) Stuffed Bagels - these were bought at a knock-off grocery wherehouse store. They're bagels stuffed with yummy stuff like cream cheese and cream cheese with cinnamon.
5) Plain Ole Eggs and Cheese - 'nuff said.
Every time I go to make a brunch I try too hard. I end up getting stressed out and not enjoying the WAY OVERBOARD AMOUNT OF FOOD I make. I was happy with this spread - the amount worked (good for 4-5 adults and two "tweens"), flavors were well blended, and ease of cooking was definitely a PLUS. Believe it or not, it was tasty. Despite the obvious lack of class.
P.S. So sorry if I already posted this pic.. it's been a long time since I have visited this thread

And I don't have any new food porn!!!
