30th Oct, Sunday, Day 9
Dont be confused folks, You have not missed a couple of days. I have skipped forward as 2 days at sea. Now onto the part most of you will want to know about. DISNEY!!!!!
We dock in Miami at 7.30am. Go for brekkie and choose self assist debarkation. This means you take all of you own luggage and get off the ship your self. we are so glad we did this. Meant we got a real head start to Disney. Off the ship by 8.15am, taxi to dollar and picked up the car by 8.45am. We had upgraded to a convertible. We had a white Chrysler Sebring which was just fab. We had kept it a secret from Alex, so whn ewe walked over to the bay with a conv in it she was speechless. So cases in (thanks goodness) and Coronado Springs here we come. There is a lot of storm damage from Wilma. All the power is down and generators are everywhere. When will the Americans get around to burying there electric cables!!!! We get on the I 95 N and then join the Florida turnpike. All the toll roads were working but had suspended payment due to the hurriacine. Even better. We stop for a burger 2 hours in and then onwards. We arrive at the bottom of the 192 by Medieval Times about 1.30pm. Chaotic roadworks here still.
We arrive at Coronado just before 2pm. I have butterflies in my tummy. Can't believe we are here again. We sign in and are staying in the Cabanas room 8220. Just what I had requested and we were right near the Did Site swimming pool which the girls were chuffed about. Great room. Slightly bigger than POFQ I think. We were also right by the carpark and bustop as well, although we never used the disney transport. We unpack and then head off to the pool for a quick dip and then change and off out again to....you guessed it, shopping. We head to the boardwalk first. Have a mooch around here. The girls by some candy from Seashore Sweets. We then head over to Premium Outlets, Johns favouritie mall. We get some stretchers trainers for both girls and John gets some nike shorts. We look around for about an hour and then start to feel hungary.
I must tell you at this point, that with all the good planning in the world, and I planned, on just the first day it had gone a bit AWOL, I had planned to do Millenia Mall tonight and eat at The Cheesecake factory, but as we were close to Crossroads, we decided to do Jungle Jims. We love this place and the food was fantastic. we stated with soemthing called spudumania. It was huge and served the 4 of us no problems.I cannot recommend this starter highly enough. I am drooling just thinkinh about it.
Alex had Chunky Chickies with curly fries, Georgia had pizza, Joh had a Rajun Cajun chicken burger and I had Teriyaki Pineapple chicken burger. Plus 4 sodas (free refills) came to $46 + $ 8 tip as our waiter was a real sweetie. A new drink was there even before we had finished our last one. It was now about 8ish and although tired we wanted to get some golf in so we headed back towards Blizzard Beach and decided to do summerland golf as we usually always to Winterland. John won allegedly, but I got 2 holes in one, so I contested this vehemently, as any self preserving woman would. Back to the hotel by 10pm and well rested, ready for a day at AK and Seaworld.
