Do they have Bell Services at Pop? I'll be traveling with my two little monkeys and don't want to worry about lugging all of my luggage and my two kids to the front desk at Pop by myself.

Thanks!
Krys

I JUST logged on here to ask this VERY same question! I also have 2 'little monkeys', and a ton of stuff! Does anyone know??

it is not called bell service - just luggage service.

so you won't get the instant service of bell services.

they will deliver to your room - it just take them longer. (but you don't have to tip them - so they can leave it in your room when you are gone)

OK, so if we want to get settled in, our best bet is to just take all of our stuff by ourselves then, right? How long until they bring it...is it like maybe 30 minutes or more like 2 hours? Do they have carts where I can load it up and take it myself?

WHat about when you're leaving? That's when I'll be by myself. My cousin will be with me when we get there but she's leaving the day before us. Does anyone know?

They have luggage service and works fine. We used them on our Jan 08 trip. I had week’s worth of water, soda, food etc from Garden Grocer sent on our arrival day to PoP. I went down to claim the items at the bellstand (which is a huge room, not a stand) and asked the guy to bring it up and leave in our room. I did tip him there because I was not sure if I would be in the room or not when he got there. Was nice

They aren't going to be tripping over themselves when you pull up but they are there. Just unload from whatever transportaton method you have and then ask one to help you out. They do have the rolling luggage carts but I'm not sure they are really keen on you borrowing one to use (just because they might not get it back right away). You can definitely ask.

It's just not an automatic service but it is there.

Let's put it this way. I've traveled with my son on my own. No one at any non Disney place bothered to even ask if I wanted help. I don't worry about it at Disney World.

Q: Will Pop Century have Bell Services?
Upon arrival, Pop Century will offer Luggage Assistance for our guests. Not to be confused with "Bell Services" found at Deluxe resorts, Luggage Assistance will take your luggage, and store it while you enter the lobby and check in. Your luggage will then be automatically delivered to your room within an hour of it becoming available. You do not need to be in the room for luggage to be delivered, so you can go off and play in the parks. When you get back, your luggage will already be there. They will have refrigerators for food and medical usage. (All food *MUST* be factory sealed) They will also have a locked area for valuables such as laptops, cameras, and other electronics.

When checking out, they can come and pick up your luggage, and store it until you are ready to depart. We do ask that you give us a call the night before, to arrange a pick up time. If you call day of, we may not have any availability left. We require a minimum of one hours notice. Those of you who opt for Express Checkout will receive a voice mail reminding you of this option, as well as other Express Checkout info. By the way, the voice of Express Checkout is the same voice that does the Monorail Spiel.

You do not need to be in your room for drop off or pick up.

Should you wish to handle your own luggage, they offer the use of our hand carts. (Not the "bird cages," but push carts) Usage of the carts is free, however, they will require a credit card on file, should you decide to take one home as a souvenir. They also do ask that guests limit cart usage to 30 minutes, so that other guests may use them as well.

Before I knew the above I stayed at Pop and almost killed myself trying to get all the luggage to my room alone never again. Once my DH get used the cart but it is so much easier just to have them bring it to the room.

It varies, depending on how busy they are and how many CM's they have working that area. DH borrowed a cart the first time, but we have learned to downsize when we stay at a Value Resort. The last time we were there they told us it could be upwards of 1 to 2 hours.
