Hi everyone! I am hoping that you all could give me suggestions for making a belated honeymoon special.

Some background in case it helps...
DH and I met in June '01. His vision of life didn't have him proposing for a couple of years (which he had visions of doing in Paris) and then getting married another year or two after that. Due to some unforeseen health questions, we ended up getting engaged in May '02 and eloped to Las Vegas a week later. We were planning to honeymoon in WDW later in the year after holding a "family wedding." That ended up being put on hold after we found out we were pregnant and decided to move cross-county.

Now, DH has decided that he wants to join me and DD (almost 2yo) at WDW when we go in Dec (a surprise because he HATES to travel and is pretty much content to have us go without him). We've decided that it should be our belated honeymoon (or at least as much as possible with a 2yo along :) ).

I'd love to have some special surprises for him along the way. I've heard about the slipper dessert, but I don't know much about it. Any other surprises that I could arrange? Special things to do? What about the small wedding cakes?

Anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!! :earboy2: :earboy2:

there are tons of things you can do together for a fun & romantic belated honeymoon

for the 2 of you:
a specialty cruise from the yacht club, boardwalk or grand floridian they offer dinner & firework cruises for $120+ (407-wdw-play) you could also rent a pontoon on your own for about $25 at one of the above marinas or dtd. you could make a ps for one of the epcot restaurants like les chefs de france (the paris connection) i personally love alfredo's in italy for its great food, marrakesh in morocco for its fun entertainment & le celliar steak house ?sp in canada for its romantic fireplace & meals. you could book a spa treatment for the two of you, go to a dinnershow, go parasailing at the contemporary, or a wdw tour, me & h2b loved the dolphins in depth, and disney also has gift baskets they can deliver for purchase through disney floral. in december there's special events like mickey's merry christmas in mk & epcot's candlelight processional. where the wdw is aglow w/ lights & christmas stories, on a familytrip my young cousins loved the many santa's at epcot & the big parade at the mk.

another thing you might want to consider is in room babysitting through most disney resorts or kids night out (for kids as young as 2) which provides certified caregivers to watch your little one, while you and your husband get a day or night alone.

i hope you two have a wonderful honeymoon! your child will be sure to enjoy wdw w/ all the parks, playareas & the pool, i hope you two do too!

best wishes!
