Belated Honeymoon

My wife and I got married Oct. 1, 2001.(A Monday at traffic court) It was just a few weeks after 9/11 and we didn't feel comfortable about traveling. 6 years and 2 kids later I am planning a kid free trip to WDW for the two of us. I read on another thread about a "mini-wedding cake" that was preordered and served at one of the restaraunts. Does anyone have details about how this done? Thanks.

Congratulations!

You have two options:

1) Most WDW restaurants keep 6-inch mini cakes in their freezers that you can order when you show up for your reservation. They cost about $12. Most people find them pretty unappealing...

2) You can call Disney's new Cake Hotline to order a cake (the smallest is 8 inches) to be delivered to a WDW restaurant where you'll be dining. The order must be placed 48 hours in advance. You can also have a cake delivered to your Disney resort hotel room, but I haven't heard whether the people on the Cake Hotline do that or whether you call your resort directly. I have seen cakes on that thread that look like mini wedding cakes, but you can pretty much get any kind of cake you can think of! Here is a thread with all the info on ordering cakes:

I like the belated honeymoon idea. That is what we are doing as well. Since we will already be in Disney we are staying for the week--then going to Italy for 3 weeks on our one year anniversary!
