Being short!

I'm only 5'0"! Shortest person in my whole family. Everyone is taller than me! I'm totally sick of it. I know I can't do anything about it but I hate having to look up at everyone. People always bring it up. I look awkward in heels and I don't like wearing them that often. Sick of it!

Vent away! I can't wear heels for LONG periods of time and I'm just 5' 2" so I'm short too! EVERYONE mostly is taller than I am.

Although, you are taller than my dear cousin who is 4' 10'.

Was very odd growing up to say the least, but having watched my sister being SO tall, I realized it was easier for me. We can wear heels, add on or try to with clothing and that. She can't or could never cut off feet, and matching up with men seemed VERY intimidating to her.

At 43, I just roll with being petite.

Almost 5'3"...have to keep the important stuff on the lower shelves, and can't buy regular pants without walking on them! My DS is 6'3.5, who is my high-shelf, spider killer. He always tells you "You're welcome for my tallness" after he gets something for me!

I totally hear you. I'm sooo tired of the lame jokes and comments. DD's well on her way to being taller than me and I'm so thankful for her sake.

Some pretty extremes in my family. DD is only 4'8" and my half sister is 6'2"!

I am not short at 5'5' but alot of women in my family are under 5 feet or just over. I think my middle DD is going to be short to. She has always been one of the shortest in her class at school. She knows she is short and we joke with her about it

My sister and brother are both much taller than me - I'm the shortest one in my family.

My dh is short, too (5'6"), so I don't mind it too much, but my poor sons hate it.

OP here. Glad to hear I'm not alone! My parents are both tall, younger brother and sister both tall, but one of my grandparents in each set are really short so that's probably where I got my shortness. Shorties unite!
