I'm sad to read some of this thread. I'm 5'8", but dd12 is, and most likely will be, a shorty. She's only 4'8", 65 pounds, and DH's family is really short (his sisters are 5'3", 5', and his mom was only 4'11", and his dad is 5'4"). So far, she is fine with it, but now that a lot of her friends are venturing into junior sizing, and she wears a 7/8 kids, I suspect that it might make her sad (especially since her little sister is now exactly her size).
I guess that one was actually a plus!
These don't bother me as long as people don't call me "fun sized" or "vertically challenged" .. I'm like, ".. NO I'm adorable!"

I've actually had bartenders go as far as to ask me details from the ID or even ask for it twice and compare it to my DBf's. And I've had people tell me I look anywhere from 17, and even once I was told I look 12
People seem so shocked when I tell them I'm in college and I'm always like, "yeah, uh...I'm actually graduating in a couple of months, I'm 22, so..." Everyone says I'll enjoy it later on in life, but right now I'd really like people to believe me when I tell them how old I am and/or order a drink.
