Being on Waitlist is Killing Me!

Ok, not really, but my God...the pressure!

The planner in me wants to get all things done now...but since I don't know if we'll be staying at our home resort of SSR or getting to stay at BLT, I can't plan certain things.

I'm just telling myself that we're staying at SSR, but life would be SO much easier if we got the GV at BLT and I would KNOW NOW if that was the case.

I need a

! It's going to be a lllloooonnnnggg wait for our November trip!

Thanks for letting me vent. Any suggestions from those of you that have experienced the waitlist game?

currently (studio hog i am) am booked @ both WL & BLT (lake view) for October trip

i won't be happy staying @ BLT w/o MK view (fond memories of ones @ CR next door), so if my waitlist doesn't come thru @ BLT, i may just cancel the lakeview & stay @ WL

DH asked me the other day if i had heard anything yet (had to tell him no)

curious, i went back & checked past notes & it appears as though 3-1/2 (more or less) months out is when i'd get the 'good' news re waitlists coming thru in the past that were made @ 7 month window.

anybody else keep tabs on this?

I'll join is as well. I think my husband is going to take my laptop away if I keep checking the member website! We have a Kidani, Savanna view (9/25 thru 10/3), and I really want Beach Club or Boardwalk to come thru! We love and adore AKV, but are ready to mix it up. I secretly want to try other resorts so I can plan accordingly for my add on, but shhh...don't tell him!

I guess if it doesn't come thru I will just have to try for our April trip at the 7 month mark *sigh*. Doubt we'll get that one either, but I'll remain positive!

Hope everyone gets their waitlist!!!

I check the member website all the time as well..I'm waitlisted for a 2 BR boardwalk view for 10/28....I have 2 studios booked at BWV...in case the waitlist doesn't come thru....sending pixi dust that your waitlist comes thru

Waiting as well for a 2 bedroom at BWV or BCW. We currently are booked at SSR.
I would take a garbage dumpster view at either in order to walk to Epcot for F&W Festival. We will be there 10/14 -10/21.
I also look every day and it is driving me nuts. At some point I'm going to have to resolve myself to the fact that we may be staying at SSR. I'm sure it's a nice place, but.........

I didn't think getting a GV at BLT would be so hard...I called at exactly 9am eastern on the day that our 7-month window became available and still nothing.

Yes, I click refresh on dvcmember many times a day. Too bad I get to sit in front of a computer all day at work---its hard to stay away!

And I'll be honest, I've called a few times. One MS told me to call daily, but I will not be doing that. Some MS don't like it when you call...some actually tell you to call and admit that the WL doesn't "match" exactly when it's supposed to. Oh well...still...waiting....did you see the other December Waitlist thread where someone's 2BR VWL on 12/25 came through? wow...

Try not checking the website for a while. I know it's hard to not check but last year I was waitlisted for a BWV studio. I was checking 2-3 times a day, then I got real busy at work and forgot to check for a week and when I did, sure enough, the waitlist had come through. I think it's the "watched pot never boils" theory.

I think that's what I'm going to do...try to do....this checking everyday is just wearin me out....gotta find another obsession to distract me.

Our son will be married at the YC followed by a reception at the Atlantic Dance Hall on the boardwalk. We were waitlisted for their studio and it came through. I am thankful for that but the wedding is taking place Thanksgiving week so I am not overly optumistic on this one.

Our waitlist for BWV was for Thanksgiving week also and it came through, so don't give up hope just yet. I think our waitlist came though in July.
