Being Human (SyFy/BBCA)

BBCA probably won't show the third season of Being Human until this summer. They don't run on the same schedule as the UK.

I watched the SyFy remake last night and I thought the pilot was ok. The show has potential and the only weak part of the show is the actress who plays the ghost.

That stinks. At least they have not canned it. ;)

Does BBC America have the same schedule as BBC UK?
No. BBC UK is actually a bunch of stations. Beyond that, BBC America presents programming from many sources, not just BBC itself.

Looked it up!!!

Being Human returns 23rd January at 9pm on BBC :yay:

Now you might watch to catch Season 1 & 2 before 3 hits.

Thanks. Going to my Tivo page to set it up now.

I watched the SyFy version last night. First impression was good. I loved the portrayal of a Wolfman with angst and a vampire with a conscience.

It's funny, I saw Aiden give Josh the Jewish star and thought it was odd, until he ran into his sister. Great line when Josh said he didn't want his parents to worry, and the sister replied that you don't tell Jewish parents not to worry :lmao:

Don't know if we are going to get the US version over here, but I am obsessive about the UK version. Aidan Turner as Mitchell is awesome!

Spoilers for the BBC version are fine through the 1st 2 series (seasons) only and this is for both versions so maybe a note if the version talked about is BBCA or SyFy?
Well I think that the BBC version and the SyFy version are pretty similar so far. Of course, only one episode of the SyFy version has aired. But from what I can tell from the previews, they are both very similar. So any discussion of the BBC version is bound to have spoilers for the SyFy version.

Anyway, I was 3/4 of the way through the episode before I realized that the guy playing Bishop played Jacob on Lost.

Thank you! I kept wondering where I saw him, but couldn't remember.

Bishop reminded me of Sterling from Leverage for some reason.

Plus Josh is no slouch in the looks end of things.

Heads up! I just saw a commercial on BBCAmerica for the original series. They are running an all day marathon of Being Human. Every episode leading up to the Season Premiere of season 3. Starts at 6am on Sat, Feb 19 and the premiere is at 9pm. So, set your DVR's!

Thanks for that!!! Can't wait!!!:woohoo:

So far it is interesting. I like it so far.
Wish the actor playing the vampire was better looking - his chin irritates me.
Something about some of the faces he makes.
Will give it this season to hook me...will see...

count me in as hooked on both. First started watching SyFy version and just yesterday started watching the marathon on BBC America. Actually think the BBC one is better, but I do like the SyFy one too.

I haven't been able to catch the BBC version, but I would like to.

I've been watching it "On Demand" and it's pretty good. Sally is kind of boring though.

Well, did you guys see the NEW EPISODE for the BBC version last night?

Yes it was on for those that missed it.

Thankfully my DVR taped it for me. ;) I will not post any spoilers.

I prefer the BBCA version too. Couldn't possibly have anything to do with Mitchell being so hot or anything.:cool1:

I DVR'd all the episodes yesterday. Haven't had a chance to watch any yet though.

For the werewolves I'm partial to Josh, I think its the humor.

I got hooked on the BBC series last year. I'm watching the SyFy version but it just pales in comparison to BBC's.

Last night I watched the season premiere on BBC. I thought maybe I didn't care for Syfy's version because it copies much from BBC. After last night though, it's Syfy's actors that are boring and don't bring the passion, trust, and comedy like BBC's actors do to their scenes.
