Is there a place anywhere at WDW to get the yummy beignets like the ones you can get at Disneyland in the French Quarter and at Ralph Brennans?

Port Orleans French Quarter has beignets at the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory - their quick service place. And they are FANTASTIC! We make it a point to stop by and grab some every trip.

Yes! This makes my day! That's where we're staying. Score! Thanks for the info.

They're not nearly as good as the ones in California.

they are pretty good at French Quarter...

But bring a bib...they sure can get messy...

I love to watch the workers make them...

FYI-the 3 beignets are 1 SC, and 6 are 2 SC.

I would agree about the one's at RB in DTD at DLR being better but if you ask for the ones at POFQ to be cooked a little longer (I don't like mine blonde) they are much better-and open the lid on the styrofoam container right away-keeps them from getting soggy! (Much better in the bag at RB)

Enjoy! We always go to POFQ at once per trip to get them for breakfast!;)

I'd agree with this. Although the ones that are fresh out of the frier are pretty good.

And they don't come close to the ones in NOLA.

We were at DL a couple of weeks ago and had beignets at Ralph Brennans one morning. They were wonderful. We've done beignets at Cafe du Monde several times and we both agreed that these (Brennans) were just as good.

I agree with the poster - the beignets at FQ don't come close to the ones in NOLA at Cafe du Monde - just went "home" to Hammond, LA and HAD to go get my "fix" of the real beignets. Have had them at the FQ a few times when we were at WDW but they've always been soggy and greasy - and that's NOT the way they are meant to be.

If you are ever in Disneyland try the mickey shaped beignets at Cafe Orleans...or if you are there during the holidays they have gingerbread beignets.

Now if we could just get them to serve a decent Cafe au Lait as well.

Its going to be hard for anyone to top Cafe du Monde. One of my favorite places in New Orleans, that and Johnnie Whites Hole in the Wall.

I tried them at the FQ one night and they were very thin shelled (one flat with a bubble in the middle) and very tough and hard to chew. I tried again a couple mornings later thinking I got a bad batch or someone who didn't know how to make them and they were the same. This was my first try so not sure what there were suppose to be but wasn't expecting this. Is this the way they are suppose to be or are they suppose to be soft and easy to bite into? Maybe I just wasn't lucky that week.

A good beignet should be light and airy with a firm (not hard), slightly cruncy, crust and a very soft inside. It also must be covered in powdered sugar. Caution; do not wear black when attempting to eat a beignet. :rolleyes1

There was nothing light and airy about these. You had to hold them in your teeth and pull to bite into them. Must have been two unlucky times because everyone raves about them. I'll have to try them again someday.

We had the same. I'll get mine in NOLA.

speaking from the home of the ''ben yays'',beignets are a air filled powder coated piece of love..they are great.you can make a homemade cheap version of these gems.first start with canned biscuits, cut them into 1/4s and heat up some oil small pot, drop them in oil carefully, when they brown on one side then flip them over with metal flipper, once done pull out and let drain then sprinkle with powdered sugar.and wah la ben yays....
