SweetSpot, don't get excited about them being much better - they just don't have the "touch" there at FQ. And want2bamommy, you have not been missing much!! NOW, to get them from my home area NOLA at Cafe du Monde, they are melt in the mouth yummy NOT chewy and doughy

If you are ever in Disneyland try the mickey shaped beignets at Cafe Orleans...or if you are there during the holidays they have gingerbread beignets.

I love the mickey shaped beignets from Cafe Orleans!!! I didn't know they had gingerbread ones during the holidays. I'll have to try them if I ever get the chance to go during the holidays.

We're staying at OKW in June and my DD's would LOVE some "man-catching beignets!". How long of a boat ride is it from OKW to POFQ? (There is a boat, right?)

There isn't a boat from OKW to POFQ. You would need to take a boat to DTD where you would get off near Pleasure Island. Then either take the shuttle boat or walk over to the Marketplace and catch the boat to PO. It would probably take about an hour or more by boat.
