Beignets

We've had them at Cafe' DuMonde in New Orleans - does anyone know how they compare at Disney? They are so bad for you, but soooooo good!

Disney's don't measure up to Cafe' DuMonde - not sure if anything would. But they are surprisingly good at WDW as long as they have been freshly made for you.

Remember, don't wear black when ordering beignets.

I also think that they are not as good as the ones in New Orleans, but I did eat them anyway and would eat them again. The ones at POFQ were a little more doughy. The "walls" of the beignets in N.O. are a little thinner if this makes any sense. If you have never eaten the beignets in Louisiana, you'll think these are awesome. They are pretty good, but not exactly the same as what I am used to.

Can we drive to POFQ and park to eat the beignets? I am trying to figure a way to do eat there for breakfast and then catch the boat to DTD for the morning. We should probably catch a bus to POFQ if we plan on continuing to DTD by boat, huh?

Other than if you are saying at Riverside, have a car, or use a taxi to get to the FQ you would need to go to the TTC or a park and then get a bus to the FQ.

Keep in mind that the boat to DTD doesn't start running until 11:00.

If you drive to the FQ, you can always take the boat both ways. The boat runs to DTD about every 20 min until 4:00 then it's every 10 min.

Not even close Completely different leagues. I always have beignets when I got to NOLA. The ones I had last year at POFQ were ok but nowhere near to the real thing! I would in no way make a special trip to POFQ for them.
