So do you see much more on this tour than just riding Living with the Land?

We did this many years ago back when it was free. It was interesting to hear and see the behind the seeds information. I agree, it is worth doing it once.

You don't necessarily see more, but you learn more.
It has been years, but they gave us magnifying glasses and we got to keep some cotton.

We've done this several times over the years. It depends on whether you enjoy horticulture and such. We love it. Besides walking through the growing areas you see fom the boat, you do go into a room that breeds insects for natural pest control. See some videos. a couple of other back stage areas. Eat some cucumbers, release some ladybugs on plants, listen to the guide talk about methods, etc. extremely interesting for our family.
Hope this helps.

You don't see anything different than what you see from the ride, except from a different view/side (you're walking down a different path---outside perimeter of the plants vs. from within the boat). You do get to go into a room that shows more about the wasps and the ladybugs that are used for pest control that the ride talks about. The difference is the interaction that you have with the cast member who gives the tour and your ability to ask specific questions. The cast member details the horticulture and entomology aspects further than what the ride does. Very interesting and worth doing!

I've done this twice and will be sending DH and DD5 when we go. It is a very interesting tour and you get lots of fascinating information. Definitely worth doing if it sounds interesting to you.

I've been told this is a gateway tour.

You do this one and find out how good and much fun they are and soon you are spending $1,000s extras each visit on tours ;)
