We are bringing my daughter for her fifth birthday. My MIL and FIL are joining us, and they have a large kitchen garden every year. My daughter also enjoys helping in the garden. This is our first visit to Epcot.. We have two MK days, 1 AK, 1 HS, and 1 Epcot.

So,
Have you ever done the tour? Would a five year old who is interested in plants and bugs like it? If not, would you recommend it for my mother and father in law to do by themselves? What time would you recommend we try to schedule the tour for? Is there so much to do with 1 day at Epcot that we shouldn't even bother with anything else added?

Thank you!

We all loved Living with the Land (w/ boys 6 and 10). From what I understand Behind the Seeds is like the steroids version of the ride. I think everyone would love it.

We took our kids when they were ages 2 and 5. The 2 year old was good we just carried her the whole time. It is a walking tour not a boat tour. The 5 year old enjoyed himself. They include kids. My son was able to release a vial of ladybugs onto some plants. He liked seeing their mickey shaped veggies and the fish that they have.

When we went we were the only people with children on the tour, so I think it tends to be mostly adults that book it but my kids enjoyed themselves. I do remember it being about an hour maybe??

There are opportunities to touch things but plenty of things you can't touch either. So just be sure your child is closeby and able to control those excited little hands!

We had a great time too! Glad we did it. So I'd reccomend it.

I can't believe I've never heard of this! I LOVE Living with the Land, but how do I find info on the tour? Our 4th trip is coming up next month. :)

We loved it it's about an hour of walking and you get to go through the greenhouse areas. Current cost is about $20 and we'll be doing it again next trip after skipping it for a few years. We love it but would not do it with only one day for EPCOT

Wonderful! Thank you so all so much! Do you have a *time* recommendation? We're going at the beginning of June.

We did this...and also loved it. I would probably recommend the morning as there is a lot of walking, and in the morning hopefully everyone is less tired than they'll be later in the day!

We decided not to book the tour ahead but possibly try the day of if we're not occupied already. If the Anna and Elsa m&g and Frozen ride has started at Epcot by then, my M/FIL may try to do it while we do that and DH, DD and I will catch it on a return trip. :)

I booked it for DH and myself on the day we decided to attend. I loved the tour, but we do not like to make that kind of "appointment" ahead.

When did you go? THNX
We went three years ago, in December. I think we went in the afternoon, but my memory is not clear. We were in a group of about 10 people, and this tour had no children. I think you need to know how your child's tolerance to standing and walking and then standing is. My DGD would never have enjoyed it, but there are other children who would be fine. The tour lasted about 90 minutes, and was driven not only by the tour guide, but by how the guests interacted with her.

THNX my youngest did it when he was 5. I'm going in August want to make my fps before booking it. This time it's just going to be myself and my dh my boys are old enough to ride a few rides without us:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
