Has anyone taken any of the Behind the Scenes tours? Could you please rate them? Thanks

The only one that I have done is the keys to the kingdom tour. It was definitely a great experience. :thumbsup2 I loved the tour. So much information and so many things you just don't realize or tink about. I would definitely recommend it.

The next tou i take would be the one at Animal Kingdom...Really debating about suggesting that tour to my family for our October Trip. :cool1:

I've also only taken the Keys To The Kingdom tour and loved it. That's a great tour and would love to do it again, but there's also alot of other tours I want to take too. My DH and DS are taking the Segway Tour in June. I've heard all good things about that tour that's why they decided to do that one. Sort of a father and son bonding outing.

I think I have taken all but maybe 3 of the tours available including "Dine with an Imagineer". They were all excellent tours and would be hard to rate them because each one shows you something different for the most part. In MK KTTK is good as is the steam train tour. Epcot- Both the undiscovered world showcase and even more the undiscovered futureworld is great. The seas aqua tour is a unique experience. Unfortunately they no longer offer an individual tour at MGM any more. The last tour I took "backstage magic" was 7 hours, but was one of the best because of all the interesting things you saw that is not shown on other tours(except the utilidors). In ak, if you want to learn trivia, take Wild by Design if you are interested more in the animals and their care, take Backstage Safari. Of course there are many other interesting tours. One thing I have found out is that a tours success depends a lot on the CM guide. For example, I have actually taken the KTTK three times over a period of years. One tour was great, the CM knew and conveyed a ton of interesting trivia. On the next tour, we didnt get half of the info as we did on the first. I know that all the tours are scripted to a degree but some guides just make it more interesting than others through knowledge or their personality. 99 percent of the time, they do a great job.

If you would like any details on some specific tours, dont be afraid to ask!

I've done 3 of them-Hidden Treasures of WS, Keys to the Kingdom, and Backstage Safari. My favorite was Backstage Safari, but I love AK, so it would make sense. When we did KTTK, it was way back when they didn't include lunch (around the mid-90s), and that was the biggest drawback. Now, it's probably better-but still not up to Backstage Safari.

I have only done the KTTK, two years ago. Facinating tour, try to get an early one if you go, the day gets long when it gets hot.

I really enjoyed Backstage Safari at AK. (I'm a total animal "geek," though, and have volunteered at our local zoo for seven years now, so this is totally up my alley). Totally worth the time and money if you're into animals, IMO.
