Has anyone done this at MGM STudios? I've read about it somewhere.......2 1/2 hours at MGM taking a tour round the different aspects of animation, then you get to create your own 'cell'. I think its about $58 or so. Does anyone know if you have to be 16 as I know DD would love it, but she'll only be 15 next easter when we go.

Anyone have any other info on it?:)

Angel, I'm keen to do this too. I'm pretty sure that all the behind-the-scenes tours are for 16s and older. You can get information from 407-WDW-TOUR (939-8687). You don't need park admiision for this particular one.

Have never done the animation tour myself but it looks as if it could be quite interesting might be worth doing.

Thanks for that:) Wonder how strict they are on ages?? Do they check? Oh well, (sigh) looks like we''l have to do as you say Bev and go back the next year too........what a shame!!!!;)

If you (or anyone else) do it Deb, please do let me know what it's like though....thanks:D

Angel, I think your DD would pass for 16. I honestly don't think it's going to make a difference. I'm certain she would not inconvenience anyone else. I don't see how they could prove she wasn't. I think they put that age on things so they keep away 10/11 year old who could potentially spoil it for the other guests. I'm certain this wouldn't be the case with your DD.

Thanks for that Vernon! :) I was kind of hoping that. As you say, there is no way she would be disruptive or anything...she'd be far too interested in what was going on! Probably less bother than some adults!;) I wasn't sure whether they ask for ID or anything. I seem to remember when DH did the Dolphins in Depth at EPCOT he had to take ID along....I think I'll ring them to check generally.

Hi Mandy

when I enquired about one of the Behind the Scenes Tours - the info was very specific about Identification. I was told a Passport or Driving Licence would be acceptable :(

I think a phone call to make sure would be your best bet :)

Let us know how you get on?

:)

Angel, I'm pretty certain it is for over 16's as I looked into this tour for DD2 (who will be 13 next trip) and found she would be too young :(

I think you'll find Disney are strict about the age limits for tours. When DD1 wanted to do the Dolphins in Depth tour I enquired and was told they must be over 16 and would need to take ID with them to prove age. Now that may have been for safety reasons for the Dolphins programme, but I also had to sign all kinds of waiver forms relating to safety, filming, promotions, etc., before she was accepted on the tour.

I would definitely check it out before booking.
