behind the scenes, a teenage aspect

Once again fabulous post! HAHA! i liked your pics! i always wanted to be a cheerleader but could never do a cartwheel so ended up in dancing. then one guy took over the company and pushed me to the ground in a split when i wasnt ready. lets just say he never got his money for the lesons. now ive been taking drum lessons and we are looking for a diffrent studio.;) i have to go bye!

Hi Reese, I liked your update, I am happy that you are finding the time to do it. I knew you would miss cheerleading, I TOLD YOU SO! I love you MOST!

I enjoyed reading your last two entries. You had me cracking up :rotfl2: while reading about the Mars ride. I can't believe nobody thanked you! Do they realize they owe you their lives?! ;)

It was neat seeing your cheer pics. :cheer2: You can tell that you really enjoy it. I think it's great to be involved with something you love.

I think it's so awesome that you and your family have family nights. That's so important for families to do. You are extremely fortunate to have each other, and I know it must be hard to be away from your mom and dad. Hang in there.

:surfweb: Keep the posts coming. I love reading your perspective of the trip.

Thanks for reading part of my trip report. I really appreciated it. When we get back from our December trips we'll all have to read each other's December trip reports! :santa:

Alright Reese's, I told Coach T about you saying her driving was more thrilling than Test Track and now the inside joke around here is that The next disney thrill ride is going to be "Coach's Caravan"

I miss you much little girl! Mommy is going nuts with out you here.

I like that in cheerleading you get to do a little dancing too, it might only be a 1 minute dance routine mixed in with a 3 minute cheer but it's still dancing none the less. When I first started cheerleading I could barely do a cartwheel. Have you thought about looking for a squad that doesn't require tumbling? Most rec squads don't care if you can tumble or not.

Ouch on the split. I know that had to hurt!!!

I like that I made you laugh, thank you for reading even though it takes forever for me to post each new installment.

I love cheerleading so much, i love cross country and track too but I have been a cheerleader for so long I can't imagine life without it. When I get home I will be cheering for Cougars and for my school The Lions. Plus Coach T has said she might take the PR squad to another competition and try and when another bid to nationals. So cheering 3 squads keeps me busy, at least PR squad isn't every week now.

I will definatley read your December trip report. I think I won't write one on my own i will just help mommy with hers, these things take a ot of work, it's fun work, but i just never have time for it and i feel bad starting something and not being able to finish.

Hi Mommy
Less then a month now!!!! I am getting antsy just waiting to see you. I love you much more. I know you told me not to grow an inch but I think I did. I am getting real excited for Disney now. I havent had anyone to talk to about it, but i know when I get home you will talk me ear off about it. LOL

I will try to update this week. byez xoxoxoxoxxo

Hi Reese,

I am really enjoying your trip report and I love seeing your point of view on the trip after reading your mom's report. You are too funny! Your cheerleading pictures were great and it is very clear that you love your sport.

I can't wait to hear more from you and I am really looking forward to hearing about your trip in December.

Thankyou for reading my TR. I want to finish it up before school starts and then just help mommy with her pre trip report.

I do love cheerleading, I love all 3 of my squads and am looking forward to another great year. (injury free this time)

I am excited about my December trip, I try not to think about it cause it's still so far away, but Mommy never lets me forget, everyday she is in my ear, "Only 106 days Reese, only 105 days Reese."

Animal Kingdom day. The day I was really looking forward to. I am an animal lover. I used to think about becoming a vet, but I would not be able to handle the down side of it. I would love seeing and helping animals, but then there would be the sad visits where little Suzy would have to put whiskers to sleep and then I would be on the floor bawling. But anyway, it was just me and Mommy that day. Jim and Daddy were to lazy, I mean tired to get out of bed. I think by that time Daddy was Disneyed out and Jim was missing his lay around and do nothing time, so that's what he had planned for the day. We would meet up later and got to MK for dinner.

We were one of the first ones at the bus stop for AK and the wait wasn't too long, we made a swing by Blizzard Beach and I got super excited because we were going there in a couple days and did I mention I love water? We pulled into AK and it looked to be dull, where were all the people? Was this our lucky day and we get the park to ourselves? Or maybe this park isn't really all that and nobody showed up for it?! We made our way into the park and that's when I saw the swarm of people waiting for the rop to drop. In a matter of seconds we were engulfed in a huge crowd of people, I was surrounded by strollers and happy kids who couldn't wait to see the animals, oh it was a precious sight and joyful feeling, and the parents were so into the kids excitement, it was a Disney commercial at it's best...Then... the rop dropped and the entire atmosphere changed, it was a stampede, everyone for themselves, strollers with happy kids became weapons, I was caught so off guard and was swept away by the flow of people, some screaming wait up, some yelling "Bob, run and get fast passes for Everest, I couldn't see Mommy, but I could hear her yelling for me, telling me to get to the side and wait, I worked harder than ever to get out of that crowd, I finally found what I think was a trash can and crawled up onto it and yelled for Mommy, she had to fight through the stream of strollers to get to me, I could tell she was scared but she tried to cover it up by making a joke. We then held onto eachother for dear life and jumped back into the swift river of people, really that is the only way to describe it. Have you ever got tubing down a river and needed to get to the bank ont he side but the current is too fast? That is what rope drop is like in my opinion.

We went straight for Everest, we did get lost once or twice, that is a confusing park to manuever through, but we made it and grabbed fastpasses, we had a little over an hour til our FP time, what we should have done was jump into the stan by line since it was only a 20 minute wait, but we felt limited for time and wanted to get alot done, we weren't really on a time crunch but when the park is fully loaded with people you feel rushed to be able to see and do it all. So we just started walking and ended up and Dinosour, we got in line for that, it was a tiny line, no wait at all. I honestly thought this was going to be lame, it wasn't. I like it and I was completely surprised by the T-Rex that charges the ride vehicle, it was a good ride and I would definitley go again. I knew Jimmy would have enjoyed that ride as well, but you snooze you lose lazy boy. Mommy bought the picture and then we were on our way again. We took pictures here and there and went into a gift shop, I wanted to buy a rubber snake, and we were all set to do that but the line never moved, they should offer fast passes for gift store lines, just come back at your designated shopping time and by pass the whole long line.

We went to DinoLand USA and rode Primevil Whirl, I would call it Primevil Hurl, that thing throws you all over, Mommy sounded like someone was beating the tar out of her with all her grunts and groans. After the ride I wanted to play some games, Mommy calls them a waste of money but she always lets me play them anyway, I am good at those games and beat the socks off of 2 boys, not once but twice. They didn't like that and being the poor sports they were they let me know with some colorful wording, Mommy just rubbed it in their faces that they just got beat down by a girl and that shut them up quick.

We headed back to Everest to use our FP. There wasn't any wait time, we just walked right up and got on. I was nervous to say the least. I love roller coasters because I love that fear, but I hate that fear too, the horrible knot in your stomache when you are just waiting to put your life on the line for a few minute thrill. Mommy did her whisper prayer like always and then said "Reese, if it weren't safe they wouldn't be allowed to run it." I don't know if that comment was for me or her but I took it. The ride slowly climbs to the top, you want to look down, everything tells you not to, but you do it anyway then wish you didn't. All you can think of now is shooting off the track and falling into the abyss. Going up is the scariest, no actually getting over that first drop is the scariest, then the rest is so fast you have no time to worry, but this ride comes to a stop and lets you see the mangled track ahead of you, oh those poor people who weren't able to stop in time, may they rest in peace, we were one of the lucky ones and our train just fell backwards and took us to a different track, it almost seemed planned. the ride is close to being over when the Yeti jumps out and screams in my face, I swear I could smell his rotten breath, or it could have been the guy in front of me, he was screaming quite a bit. The ride ended and I said "it was just o.k." And that same guy called me a brat, yup it was his breath and not the Yeti's. Mommy didn't buy the ride picture (gasp) I could totally turn her in to the scrapbook police, but for now, I have something to blackmail her with. Muahaha.

We were a bit parched so we went a nd got a mango slushie and a bag of cookies. They were both delicious, I know Mommy went into full detail about the eating habits of the family next to us so I will not say much about that except eeewww gross.

I know we headed over to the safari ride but we ended up not riding, I think the wait was long and we didn't want to fastpass it cause the return time was forever and a day away. We went into some shops Mommy got postcards, I loved all the giraffe stuff, i collect, or use to collect giraffes, it's a cute story how that came to be, and I will share it with you.

It was the summer before 1st grade and we were in Michigan with my Gama and Poppy. (this was before I had to spend my whole summers at the bio dads house) My Mommy and aunt Bo were going to take us to the Detroit zoo, I wanted my Poppy to go with us, he said he quit going to the Detroit Zoo because they got rid of the long necked giraffes and now only had the short necked giraffes he said he wouldn't go again until they brought back the long necks (that's what my Poppy called them). This intrigued me. So my mission was to find the giraffes and see if they had gotten the long necks back. At the zoo I kept asking for the giraffes, are we close? how much further? Mommy and Bo kept saying "soon" I couldn't even enjoy the rest of the zoo and all the other animals because my mind was on the giraffes. After what seemed like hours Mommy said "I see the giraffes up there." I was mad by then and said nothing, then Bo says "Oh, Reese, we are almost to the giraffes, then Jim said Reese there's the Giraffes." I started yelling, "I know, I know, quit saying Giraffes, I hate that name now." Mommy said to Bo about me "Bipolar much?" I knew she was saying it in reference to me but I didn't know what it meant at the time, so for right now Thanks Mommy you're a real Gem. Anyway, we get to the Giraffes and I am ecstatic to see they are the long necks, this meant Poppy could start going to the zoo again. We spent an hour at the giraffes, I didn't have a favorite animal at that time, but now I did, it was giraffes and that is when the collection started, I bought my first beenie baby giraffe that day and from then on everyone always got me giraffe stuff, Mommy even did my room in a safari theme with giraffes being the main focus. Now, I no longer collect giraffes, I have over 100 giraffe things, stuffies, mugs plates, purses, frames, blankets, pillows, statues etc..etc.. they are now in my attic except for a few special ones from Poppy and my room is pink and black, but I still love giraffes all because of my Poppy.

We decided to leave the park and go back to Pop for a swim, on our way out we ran into some characters, there were hardly any lines so we stopped for pictures, ChipnDale are awesome, it's cool how they play off eachother and are so interactive with the guests, it was good times.

We called Jimm and Daddy and told them we were coming back, they said they would gor for a swim with us. There was a bus waiting to take us to our resort but Mommy moved too slow and we missed it. She was dying of thirst and walking so slow, I'm yelling "C'mon granny, get a move on it, I've got a life to live." Mommy loses her humor when she as she calims is at deaths door."

When we got back to Pop, Daddy was waiting at the bus stop with our mugs and nice cold soda in them.

We walked to our room, got changed and went down to the pool, it was fun again. Daddy and Jimmy left after awhile, Mommy and I were going to work on our tans, Mommy fell asleep so I got bored and left her there and went back to the room to change, Jimmy and I went to the arcade and had a good time, we were there a couple hours, then we just walked around the resort till Daddy called us and Said it was time to come get ready for us to go have dinner at Liberty Tree.

That's all for now guys, I will post about dinner and the fireworks later.

You were so precious that day at the zoo, I don't remember calling you bipolar though, that seems a bit harsh, I do remember you being grumpy by the time we got to the giraffes.

Nice update baby, you are almost done.

Once again Reese, great job on the trip report! I love reading your point of view about how the trip went down.:thumbsup2

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!its been 4ever since ive been on so hi!!!! im looooooooooopey right now because im on antibiotics 4 my hoooooooooooooorible alllllllllergggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeees mwahahahaha!!! byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye!!!

I know! It's been forever, but seriously don't you think it's time I finish this thing? I leave for Disney this tuesday, for those who don't want to do the math, that is 3 days, or 2 days and a wake up. I can't go until i tie up lose ends, and one of those ends is this TR. I am sorry that it has taken so long, I am just so busy with life, and today i have been doing homework, laundry and packing, I need a break.

SO I left off at the family heading to MK, our last night in the world. Jim and Daddy went and rode space mountain, I know Mommy and I shopped alot but bought little and I know we went on the buzz light year ride again, mommy wanted to get the ride picture cause last time the people took forever and Mommy left, but this time she didn't like the way the picture turned out and she skipped it. We were going to do the stich ride but then we thought we wouldn't make it out of there in time for our adr at Liberty tree, so we got out of line and headed over to wait for the boys. I can't remeber if we got there first or if they were waiting for us, either way we all waited forever for our name to be called, seemed like there were alot of PA people there that night. Finally they anounced us and we were taken to our table. I was so hungry, they started us with the salad, blech! I love salad, but not theirs, the dressing was nasty. Mommy ate it. I think the food was pretty good, not as good as Daddy's he's the best cook ever, but it was pretty close. The characters made there way over to us pretty quick, Mommy bawled when goffy came over, she denies this, but she is lying, she had tears in her eyes and it made Goofy all embarrased like. He did give Mommy a lot of attention though. ChipnDale took my camera and played around a bit, Minnie Mouse made my brother take his hands away from his face for the picture, and Pluto licked my face. It was good times as Mommy says.
Jimmy and I got bored so we went out side and left the parents to finish off the dessert, we were sitting on a bench across from LTT when I saw Mommy come out holding my bag, she never lets me leave without my epi-pen then she fell down the stairs, she said it was because the voice on the speaker scared her, it was funny, of course I made sure she was ok before I laughed at her. She was fine, cause she was laughing too, Mommy doesn't get embarrased much, when she trips she doesn't try to hide it or play it off, she will anounce to the world, crap! I just tripped, or she'll say, when did they put that there? She can laugh at herself, that's what makes her fun.
The fireworks started right around then, we hadn't planned on this so it was an added bonus. We watched and Mommy cried again. When it was over we made our way back to the bus stop and waited a year for a bus to take us back to Pop, Jimmy kept picking on the boy infront of him. Not mean like, just playing around a bit, and then blaming everthing on mommy.

I can't remember much of the rest of the night, I know we had a pillow fight and I got slammed into the wall. It was a fun and sad night cause the next day would be our last day at WDW.

Next day Daddy loads up the van pretty quick and we are out the door and on our way to BB, I will not go on about this day, it was scary, sad, heart breaking. Mommy threw her back out right as we pulled into the parking lot, it was different than when she slipped a disc years ago, she couldn't breath, I thought we were going to have to go to the emergency room, but eventually it passed, but her back was so stiff we couldn't go into the park, Mommy said she would just find a lounge chair to lay on, but i knew she would be hurting so much, so we all just decided to head home. Daddy drove it straight through.

Now here I am days away from our next trip. I will report more tomorrow.

You are too funny!! Having 2 teenage daughters and a 12 yr old son myself who don't seem to share my enthusiasm for this trip, being addicted to figuring out strategies ("do you wanna do this or that?"), and being on this website as much as possible, I can pretty much relate to parts of your story...You are definitely entertaining!! Keep the great attitude, kiddo!!

I will admit that a year ago, even 6 months ago I wasn't too excited for this trip, but now i am uber excited and just can't wait to get there. now that we (mommy) has had a year to study disney, this trip is going to rock.
Thank you for reading.

Good to see you back! I'm glad you're excited. Do you plan to do a post-trip report, so we get your perspective of the trip? I'm sure it would be great.

Have a blast! :santa:

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reading my TR. It took forever to get it finished, but now I can call this complete.

I feel like so much about me has changed since the first Disney trip it makes me wonder if now that I am different, will I see Disney differently? I am more excited about this trip then I was for the last, I don't know if it's because I know more about the parks, or if it's because I am going with Mommy, My cheer coach and my good friend Coley, maybe it's both.

Things I will do this time that I didn't do last time.

1. give everything a chance

2. allow Mommy to see every character she wants

3. go to all the shows

4. Use fast pas more

5. eat less ice cream and more cheese cake.

6. not waste money in the arcade.

7. try a dole whip.

8. Actually do my hair each morning.

9. ride Dumbo.

10. Laugh more than i ever did.

Also I must add that I broke up with my boyfriend last wednesday, so I am in need of some boyscoping therapy. :lmao: there will be some boy watching on this trip.

Have a great day people, I am off to cheerleading practice. Yup! on a Sunday!

I started reading your moms trip reports today and I decided to click the link she gave to yours. You two are awesome! You write so good for your age! I would LOVE to vacation with you two!

OK...off to finish reading.
