Mechurchlady, How cool is it that your mom wants to go somewhere???Now the important caveat-please don't have expectations about the trip other than what actually happens. As evidenced by DS's much anticipated trip to the Brass Band Concert, sometimes the victory is in the gettin' there. What happens when you get there is "what happens". Does that make sense?
Becky, you are one funny lady. I must admit that I was only able to read all the books in one day because it was Christmas Break. We didn't go anywhere that week because Mommy was in a "reading hangover" as I so politely put it. As an act of kindness, I gave my set of books to the mom with the troubled 9 year old. She thanked me Sunday and said Twilight got her through what was surely one of the worst periods of her life. Booyah. (I just like saying that- it's in a Stephen King book I read a year or so ago. It's what the protagonist says when she kicks butt against the sinister bad things, what exactly I can't remember).
I'm sure the ophthalmologists of America don't appreciate your 20 year eyewear plan.

I guess they've got plenty of people that lose glasses to keep them in business.
I think I've asked this before- What is it exactly that you do to Bok Choy that makes it taste so good? Isn't it the part of my Chinese food that looks like wilted lettuce? Want to make yourself laugh? Say "Bok Choy" ten times really fast. I am easily amused.
Saveaquarter, how's it going? I think of you and your family and hope for the best labor ever. Will DH enjoy being at the hospital since he's having ER withdrawal? How funny would that be? You're in labor and he's having the time of his life hanging out at the hospital. Sounds like something my DH would do...Oh, wait, he did do that.
See, I told you my tacky would get messy all over the place. I really should lock it up. For all our new members, welcome. We are a fun, problem solving bunch around here. Becky is funny, Pudge is our guide, Laurie is our thinker-outside-the-box, and Bookewormde checks in on us for technical support. C & G's Mama and Koolaid Mom's are our sisters in spirit and the best moms in the world. Saveaquarter is pregnant with anticipation. If I left you out, it's cause I most likely have ADD. But I {heart} all of you and enjoy your company.

Can you believe 500 posts?
Hey, C&G's Mama, did you find a hotel for Friday night? I once looked on one of the hotel rating sites and found this little, hidden hotel called the Meridian on the main drag near WDW. It's right smack dab behind a McDonalds. It's super cheap and had down comforters and pillows on the beds and the cleanest bathroom ever. Not ginormous room, but clean, nice beds, and expensive bath products. It was a few years ago, so check it out on Expedia if you can. That's my tip. I'm so excited for your trip. Give us a full report.
Did anyone see Wife Swap last Friday? Aside from the dragon woman that was scary, there was this mom who had a super reward plan for her kids. She put a "stone" for every kind and helpful act her kids did in a jar, and they got a reward for every 6 they earned. What a great plan for vacations or just daily life. Her explanation was that if kids make an effort to have good behavior enough, eventually it becomes a habit. It's true- an action has to be repeated something like 30 times until the brain hardwires it. And a rock in a jar is something we can all do. Wanna try it? Or should I be the guinea pig?
