Begun this TRIP report has. New and Done Pg. 59

Great updates.

Your new pin is great.

I cannot believe the wait is so long for TSM. I guess you have to get there early.

Wait until you hear what happened on Saturday when we tried to ride again!!!

The wheels are definitely spinning on the idea -- I called earlier tonight to make the one ADR we would want "just in case." They had a 6:30 which was perfect -- I think it's meant to be! ;)

Besides, I keep thinking if the theme is Cities in Wonderland that might mean it is going to have Alice stuff, and Alice is my favorite!

Charles thinks we should go, too, which is always important when planning a trip! :rotfl:

Great update! We finally saw Off Kilter this trip!!!

That Indy Mickey -- I am still kicking myself that we passed it up! Sigh.

I hope you got to ride Toy Story Mania on Saturday!

I'm glad you got to see Off Kilter. I'm so behind on trip reports. Did I miss that part?

Em has an irrational fear of Alice! Ever since our first trip. Something happened the first time we met her (who knows what) and Em won't go near her or the Mad Hatter!

If your Charles is in for a trip in October, I say go for it! It is so much fun just the two of you.
good updates--love the pictures of Emily on the ride:goodvibes

She had a ball! She loves to get wet!

Great update! I am hoping to find some of those pieces of the ride pins. They are just too neat. I am sucker for the Backlot Tour only because of the movie memorabillia. :goodvibes

I love movies! That's why I ride it!

Your new avatar is great! We are finally going to see Wall E this week for Chuck's 40th birthday!

Oh no -- I hope that doesn't bode ill for TSM!

Nope, you didn't miss the Off Kilter update -- it's in the next one.

That's too bad that Em has a fear of Alice -- she's my favorite because she is always having to deal with all the crazies in Wonderland. :lmao:

I think we are going to try to go in October -- my fear is that it might mean giving up AKL next June, but there is CBR for that -- especially if you give it a good review in December! :thumbsup2

You'll love Wall-E -- I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Great update Lynn! Do you know that on my Disneymoon I specifically went and say Off Kilter for you and took pictures? I am such a bad Dis board friend and never posted them for you! I will have to do that this week while I am home in RI and have access to the pictures.

I love you Pirates pin also...I have a couple of pins now and think I might continue collecting them so I can hand them down to my kids one day...I have to have some first though. :goodvibes

I hope you enjoyed Wall-e and can't wait for the next update!

Yes, very ill boding!

I'll keep my eyes open (both of them ) for your OK update!

I'm glad you are thinking of going in October. But I hate to think you would have to give up AKL. It is so awesome. I'll let you know about CBR.....

So psyched for Wall-E tomorrow!

That is so sweet! You are a great Disfriend! I'd love to see the pictures! Did you like them?

I love my pins! That is a nice idea to hand them down to your children. I guess Em and jake will have to fight over mine.

We are seeing Wall E tomorrow! We are excited!!

Hi Lynn. I just found this report and am enjoying it lots - not sure how I missed it. I read your last report and loved it. You guys seem like such a fun family! Looking forward to more.

Hey! I'm glad you are here! Hoping for another update tonight!

Day Three Part One

I have downloaded 114 pictures for this day alone so you know there is going to be more than one part! I have to add that this is the first time Lynn has taken only her digital camera with her, and now that she is unencumbered by the limitations of film…..has gone hog wild!

After a short ride on this bus,

It was……. drum roll please….

Good Morning, Animal Kingdom!

DSCF0624.jpg

It was an Early Magic Morning at AK. It was something that we hadn’t tried before, but since we only had a few days left on our tickets, we decided to risk it. We could always leave if it got too crowded, right?

DSCF0625.jpg

Our plan was for Chuck to go and ride Everest while I took the children over to Dinoland to do the rides there. Chuck would meet us there and we would try to get over to the safari or just get FP for later. For us, AK is all about the shows and the scenery so if we can knock out the big things first, we can relax and enjoy. Also, AK is always so much hotter that the other parks and I was worried we wouldn’t last long!

Once they let us through the turnstiles, they gathered us in front of the Tree of Life for the moring show. We were near the front on the right hand side near the tip board. It was covered like this….

A CM picked a child from the crowd and we counted down and he rolled it up to show the schedule for the day. I felt kind of sorry for him, because it looked hard to do.

Soon after, the characters were on their way to us!

Once they went past, we parted ways, Chuck to Asia and the rest of us to Dinoland.

DSCF0630.jpg

Dinoland was completely empty!

You can’t really tell but that is Emily riding Triceratops Spin all alone.

DSCF0632.jpg

They were the first on Primeval Whirl.

DSCF0631.jpg

Emily went on to ride it three more times. They just let her stay on.

Chuck joined us and we were off to find more adventures.

DSCF8502.jpg

What happened to Chuck during his time away? I’ll let him tell you. Hey the stand-by line was only like 5 minutes(more like walk on)…who could resist??

Two pictures from the base of the ride

Coming up: back together and on Safari!

Still enjoying the updates and pics. :thumbsup2 This is definatly one of my current favorite trip report.

Great update! Love the views from EE. How nice that Dinoland was so empty - definately worth getting up early! :)

How neat to have Dinoland all to yourself! :thumbsup2 114 pictures per day seems reasonable to me!! :) Glad you are liking the digital camera!

Great update! The pictures from EE are great...I was afraid to take my camera out though...maybe in Oct I will try it. That is my new favorite ride! Looking forward to the safari pictures.

We've never done an EMH morning at AK -- I love how empty it looks in all of your pictures -- and a 5-minute stand-by line for Everest...hmmm...definitely food for thought!

It was so nice to see all the replies when I got home today. Work is insane with the release of the new Stephanie Meyer book tomorrow night! Thank goodness, I don't have to work that party! Harry Potter seven almost did me in!!

Great update!!!

I need to try EE.

How old are your kids?

I've never tried EE myself, but Chuck and Jake love it! I would love to be able to see the view, but then I'd have to come down!:scared1:

Em is 11 (12 next week!) and Jake is 14. Not too much of the teenager drama is kicking for them. Let's hope it stays that way!

Still enjoying the updates and pics. :thumbsup2 This is definatly one of my current favorite trip report.

Thank you so much!! That means the world to us!!

Great update! Love the pic at the top of EE, what a great view!

Thanks! Chuck always gets great shots!

It was great and definitely the thing to do in the summer. It was not quite as hot that early!

How neat to have Dinoland all to yourself! :thumbsup2 114 pictures per day seems reasonable to me!! :) Glad you are liking the digital camera!

It's taken me awhile to get used to it, but I'm loving it now! Now I just need a good plan for getting prints. Any suggestions? Anybody?

Great update!! I can't wait to see more pictures. :thumbsup2

Oh, there are a ton more pictures! No telling how many chapters this will turn out to be!

Great update! The pictures from EE are great...I was afraid to take my camera out though...maybe in Oct I will try it. That is my new favorite ride! Looking forward to the safari pictures.

Chuck will take pictures anywhere! I think the only ride he hasn't tried to get a picture of is Rockin' Roller Coaster. I'm too scared to even try EE, much less take a picture.

We've never done an EMH morning at AK -- I love how empty it looks in all of your pictures -- and a 5-minute stand-by line for Everest...hmmm...definitely food for thought!

It was really nice. the park started filling up around 10, but by then we had done the major things and could just hang out. We will definitely do it again.

Great update! I love Primeval Whirl, but I can't believe Emily did it so many times in a row! :faint: And the Everest pics are pretty cool.
