Em's pic of the day

Sorry it's blurry! I am so tired!

Nice one, Em!!
Seven more days! :yay: :yay:

No, not at all. By the last week of school I am as ready as the kids to be done and assigning more work just means more grading for me.

Don't worry -- I'm never satisfied either -- I spent the weekend pining for the AKL because I was reading The Flame Trees of Thika which is the autobiography of a girl whose parents started a coffee plantation in Kenya in 1914. I really, really, really want to stay at AKL now. I have to keep reminding myself that Disney will be Disney no matter where we are staying. Maybe, I should read something set in New Orleans.

I'm glad it is not just me!!

You may think this is totally odd, but I always like to choose a book that goes along with the resort we have stayed at. I read Charleston by John Jakes at POR and Number One Ladies Detective Agency at AKL. I'm having a terrible time finding one for POP! It's not themed to a location. I'm probably just going to bring The Pirates! books by Gideon DeFoe. (Hilarious!!)
I'm sure there are some great ones for New Orleans. Especially romance, if you like that sort of thing!!

I know im behind, but i wanted say we love the lego video...the dancing is great. My sixteen yr DD even came around to look and was impressed ,she said that takes alot of time and pictures. And you gota love the tater. We saw an Indy. Jones one at target this weekend and got all excited:rotfl:

You are never behind as long as you join in! Glad you liked the dancing!!

There's an Indy Tater!! I've got to get one! You know, I never see this stuff. Maybe I just don't shop enough. I hate it. Except at WDW. Can't keep me out of Mousegears!

I don't think that is totally odd, because I do the same thing as far as books/resorts. Unfortunately, I seem to be having a hard time finding something for POFQ that I haven't already read (I love New Orleans so devour books set there). I am currently reading Miracle at Speedy Motors which is the latest No. 1 Det. Agency book (which you probably already know) because our library actually already had it. It will probably increase my AKL lust ten-fold.

I have read The Pirates! books -- they crack me up -- I still remember one bit where one of the pirates ate a lime Starburst to keep scurvy away. :lmao:

Hmmm, trying to think of any books that fit into the Pop Century feel...

I'm trying to get Chuck to try the Pirates books. We love British humor, even the children. Too much Monty Python, I guess. I've warped them.

I don't know how you feel about Christian fiction, but Mindy Starnes Clark has a good one called Whispers of the Bayou. I read the first five chapters and it was so good I immediately stopped and sadi, "I'm saving this for POFQ!" If I ever get there again. sigh.....

We love British humor, too -- I blame my mother. :lmao:

I went and read the description on amazon -- it sounds like it would be right up my alley! Thanks! :thumbsup2
