I just wanted to say that no matter who is elected tonight (or next week, or next month, or however long it takes), we will still live in the greatest country on earth. Half of us will like the results, half of us will not, but in the end, I believe the country will be just fine.

May the candidates who will serve us best be elected, and may we come together to support them as one country again.

Well said!

Thanks for putting a real perspective on what is happening today.

Well, said, WDWHound. ITA.

Unfortunately, we've already heard from some on this board that if the incumbent wins, he will continue to not get their support. Which is fine, that's their right. Not sure how productive it is, but it's their right nonetheless.

Thank you for this post Hound.

This country has been very divided this election year and I pray for healing and for strength and wisdom for our President for the next 4 years.

Well said!

Here, here! A round of sparkling grape juice for everyone! On me!

Thank you so much for saying that.....I still can't help but feel anxious right now. I will say that if they guy I didn't vote for wins, I will support him as my President, and pray that he makes wise decisions, esp regarding our troops.

Well said, and I heartily agree!!!

Yes, well said, but I do hope we know tonight!

Very well said! Time to become one nation again!

ITA! I'm probably one of few people who could deal with either result with little or no problem. I was so stuck in the middle between the 2 that even if my guy loses I'll still be 1/2 happy. ;)

Well, I can say that as someone who voted for Bush, if Kerry wins, I will fully support him and be happy for him and his supporters. I would hope they would wish Bush supporters the same if Bush wins.

Once the winner is declared, I feel that we NEED to stand together, one nation, and unite again.

yeh.... whoever wins is our president. If Kerry wins GREAT!!! If Bush wins then I will move on and support him as I did before the election stuff lol.

What a great thread - Here's to AMERICA!!:D

This is the best thread yet. My dh and I were talking about this at lunch, we both agreed that if our guy didn't win, that we were going to support our new president, because we are Americans!

While I will be disappointed if the person I voted for does not win, I will still be a very proud American and I will offer my support to OUR president.

God Bless!

What a great post! The USA is a wonderful place to live. We are all truly blessed. I mean in some countries, you can become an outcast or be harmed for criticizing the government. I am definately a Bush fan but if America chooses Kerry, I will pray for him to be guided and do the best for our nation. Either way, democracy thrives. Stay United, not divided:)
