Hello-

I am sailing on disney magic febuary 24th. I am wondering if anybody could offer any suggestions on where to stay the night before the cruise and suggested transportation to port and then to disney resort after the cruise. My problem is there are 7 of us total so I'm trying to find the cheapest option possible so we can spent the extra cash on other things. Has anybody used go port Canaveral?

We only had 2 of us. We just had our first cruise on 12/07 on the Disney Dream.
We stayed the night before at the Hyatt MCO in the airport--- very convenient & would do it again !!!
They took our luggage down the morning of the cruise to DCL transfers, so very awesome !!!

We also did a Day Use when we got back from the cruise because our flight out was at 2:30 pm, we arrived back to MCO airport at approx 10:15 & spent the remainder of the time relaxing in the Day Use at the Hyatt MCO for $99 + tax before the flight--- it was so relaxing after the cruise to rest on a soft bed & eat some lunch in the room before the flight home.

i booked the embassy in Orlando with www.goportcanaveral.com and the wife and kids couldn't have been happier with the service. The hotel was pretty close to the airport, we didn't wait long for the shuttle, got another shuttle in the morning to our cruise and then when we got back we got shuttle back to the embassy so the kids could enjoy the pool. Our flight was at 5pm so being able to stay at the embassy instead of the airport was a lifesaver. All this and the shuttle back to the airport was included in the final price. Only thing I paid extra was gratuities to our drivers

Good morning,

We too are leaving on the Magic, 24/Jan/2016. Here are a couple options that I know of that will accommodate a large party:

Comfort Suites Miami Airport offers a free shuttle to the port.

Embassy Suites North Miami Airport offers free full breakfast and $12.00 pp shuttle to the port.

Go SHUTTLE is 11.09 pp

Hi Again,

Try the 'Port of Miami Shuttle'

We are a family of five and it's costing us a flat rate fee of $40.

Thank you for this recommendation. I just got online with www.goportcanaveral.com to check out options because we want to stay over a night near Kennedy Space Center an d then get back to airport the following day. They were super nice and seems very affordable. Any others have experience with this company?

Sorry i thought you were traveling out of Miami.

Kennedy space center is awesome and theyve been pretty active recently with launches! hoping to take the kids there soon it's been way too long since i've gone myself

Just to update now that we've returned…
We booked transportation through FLTours to take us from POR to the Fantasy. Kenny was our driver (he also mentioned that he visits the boards and listens to the podcasts). Communication was great including a phone call when he was 15 minutes away. He was personable, friendly and highly professional. I won't hesitate to book with them (and specifically him) again. Post cruise we rented a car from budget rental car. It went fine but the office was busy and I understood from others that this office was overwhelmed before the cruise and many complained of service issues. They did not have the car that we booked (small SUV) but gave us the next step up (a mini van) instead at the same price. This was fine for us but might not have been for others. It reminded me of Seinfeld (you know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to HOLD the reservation…). We booked with intentions to return at MCO as we flew out the next day. The return process was smooth and very easy. You just follow the signs at the airport. We did spend the day at Kennedy Space Center and it was amazing! Feel free to ask questions.

Do you mean feb 25th? We are staying in wdw then have a rental car one way for $50 that we will drop off at national rental car and shuttle over. Coming back we reserved a one day rental for $52 to take us back to wdw, then airport later. We have driven to PC several times. It's an easy drive that takes about 1 hour from wdw.
