Before Soarin what was the EpCot view?

We just returned from the BCV. Had a nice view of Spaceship Earth and Canada. But also of the Soarin building! What was the EpCot view before that building was added/extended?
We were at the end right before the parking lot, after the bend in the bldg.

Based on where Soarin' was built, I would say you would have seen more of the backside of The Land and the Imagination Pavilion. Or parking lots and storage buildings.

Here is a terra-server satellite image of the site taken in 2002 before Soarin was built.

BCV is found near the bottom-center. The "alligator" canal runs beneath the building, the roadway is to the immediate right, then the Epcot canal. At the right-center is The Land Pavillion and just below that is the Imagination/HISTA building. The backstage area behind and between The Land and Imagination/HISTA (previously used for parking/storage) is now home to Soarin and may be seen easily from BCV. Previously, the area was generally below the sightline from the resort, but as Kathleena noted, you could see The Land and Imagination buildings from BCV.
