I was accepted for Spring 2010 but I have yet to sublease my apartment. My deadline to accept is Dec 7th, but I want this so bad that I think I will do it even if I have to pay two rents. I have a little money saved up but do you think it's possible to make around $800 in a month? I used to work at a theme park and would earn around $400 every two weeks during peak season, so I'm hoping so, but lately said theme park has been cutting back hours so maybe Disney has done the same. Basically, around how much can you make per month? I'm in merchandise if that makes a difference.

Also, does anyone know where I can find the list of move-in dates? I'm mostly interested in the move-out time so I know the end of my sublease. Say if I started in February how long would I be gone?

On the website it says:
2010 Spring- approximately January through mid to late May

Whatever dates they gave you when you got accepted (not sure where they would be located, but there's a list of available check-in dates for you) are the ones you can pick from.

I can't help you with anything other than that... salary, hours, etc.

Do you have roommates who could help you find a replacement leaser, maybe?

Yeah almost everyone I know is on the hunt for someone that needs a place and I'm also posted on craigslist. I just have to pray to the Disney gods that we find someone soon. It would make me feel oh so much better.

Personally, I don't think I ever got near making $800 a month. With the rent taken out, I made a little under $150 each week after taxes. I rarely saw 40 hours though, so if you are getting overtime and 40 hours each week it may be possible.

I worked in the parking lot. and as such we had some pretty late nights, lots of overtime. I want to say after rent I made probably around 200 a week on weeks where I worked a few late nights. But there are certain people who get tons of hours and some who hardly get the minimum. I don't know enough about merchandise or where your role will be to tell you which of those two will apply to you. But there's hope!

I am in merch I get about 35-40 hours scheduled and starting last week getting about 50 a week until Christmas and with merch you can pick up shifts every week anywhere so i get about 50-60 hours a week with $200-$300 a week and sometimes more but you just have to work alot

Thanks for your input guys. I think I'm going to do it even though I may actually lose money. lol. I just can't say no. I want this so bad and I am a Junior so I don't have a lot of time left. And fall is football season so that is kind of out of the question for me. :) I'll accept and just hope someone subleases before I go.
