We are doing our first Bif Family Vacation in WDW. My DS and DBIL will be joining us. We've always wanted to do a Beers around the world tour of Epcot, give us your suggestions. Personally while they are doing the beers, I prefer specialty drinks. Aside from Mexico's Margaritas I need some suggestions. This may be our prelude to Thanksgiving Dinner. Could be a great Holiday!

My personal favorites are Ringes at Norway, Kirin at Japan, and Dos Equis at Mexico.

Our favorites are Kirin in Japan, Black & Tan in UK (only me---it's Bass Ale for my husband), Ringes in Norway and, my ultimate favorite--the Fiesta Margarita at the kiosk just outside of the Cantina in Mexico (husband likes the Dos Equis)! I'm not much of a liquor person--preferring beer or wine--but these are very good!

Most of the Epcot beers can be purchased these days at a good beer/wine store so, it's almost not so special any longer. The Fiesta Margarita, however, is something I've only been able to get at EPCOT!

DH loves Ringnes in Norway - maybe he'll weigh in on the others he has tried later today.

I second the Ringnes in Norway but for my money Tennants in the Rose & Crown is the best beer I've ever had, and I had lots last week! Also, the R&C just got in a new (for them) Belgian beer called Stella or Stella's. The bartender there gave me a small sample cup and it was very good also. I'll swill a few on our next trip.

How large are all of these drinks? I have never gotten an alcoholic beverage at Epcot but we will be there without the kids this next trip and thought this sounded fun for us to do! Just wondering though, I am kind of a light weight~ will I be able to "stumble" around the world?

Carriebarry,
Sounds like our paths may cross. We will be there Nov 24 -Dec 2. Maybe we should call it the EPCOT Crawl.

LOL! I hope I don't "crawl" right into you and spill my international beverage down the front of you! See you there!

Everytime (about once a month) I go to Epcot I try to stop by Norway for a Ringes. They will usually give you a small cup to taste one or two. My only complaint is that Norway is not close enought o Canada, where I try and get a beavertail on every visit also!!!

OMG! I think I would make it through the Maragrita and the Norway drink and thats about it! I didn't even realize how many there were exactly until it was all laid out like that!! Wow that is alot of drinkin'! Well, I will get as far as I can, luckily I'll be over at the BC so hopefully I can make it back there in my drunken stupor!

A Williams - you have laid out quite an itinerary for us to follow. We will have to report back when we get out of rehab.
Wish us luck!

You're skipping the good old US of A and missing out on one of those fine Budweiser or Sam Adams beverages???? For shame, for shame. . . .! ;)

Your plan looks like a fun stroll, trip, or crawl. . .whichever you prefer! :D

AAAHHHH yes.....The Beer around the world Marathon.....I love doing that......We start in Canada....and have A Blue....then to the UK for a few Dry Ciders in the Rose and Crown.....Then just keep going around like the rest of you suggested I have no complaints about the menu there from everyone.....the only thing is.....we usually start again in Mexico and work our way back around a few more times......

-Eddie

My suggestion would be to walk into the wonderful country of Norway and head immediately for a small stand up against the railing near the lake. When the women asks you what you would like, simply take out $10.00 and say "ONE LARGE RINGNES PLEASE."

Bill,

I've said it before and I'll say it again, IMO Belgian ales are the best beers God put on this earth, brown abbeys in particular.

don't forget to try some of the beer in Germany. I'm not sure what they have outside, but the Biergarten has a lot of great beer - and wine - to try.
