Beer

Really Bigg Daddy, you'll have to try them all at least once. (Maybe not all in one day though);)

anything on tap at R&C is prob. coldest.
Best: spaten
unique:casa blanca-they're frequently out of it though.

Stella, Stella, Stella! On draft from Rose and Crown, carried over to Canada to listen to Off Kilter.

On days when I am really missing the Mouse, I pour a Stella, crank up the Off Kilter, and sit on the deck with my eyes closed....almost there ;)

Ask me when I get back from my trip next week. I think I'll have to personally research this and take a beer tour of the worlds at Epcot. :rotfl:

Rose & Crown has a great sampler. 5, 6oz beers. I also like the Hefe over at the Biergarten. Though, you can't go wrong with a pint of Guiness (though not so "cold") at Rose & Crown.

A note for americans re: the beer in Canada...

Be careful when consuming, see unlike american beer, we put alcohol in ours.

This is a common misconception.

First, American beer and Canadian beer differ in how the alcohol content is measured. Canadian is measured by vlume and American by weight. When you do the conversion, generally the common, well known mass produced beers, American and Canadian, are about (or is that aboot?!?) the same alcohol content.

Second, beers vary in alcohol content depending on the style and brewing method.

How much would is cost to do the world beer tour?

Well, assuming one beer per country (including American Adventure), I think most beers from the kiosks or counters run from $5.50-$7.50 a pint (:sad2:), split the difference at $6.50, 11 countries, that's $71.50. I'd bet the average is towards the higher side though.

When we did it, we "snacked" around the world and shared the food samples with the kids and split the drinks between the two of us. I can't remember exactly and neither can he, but we were thinking it was in the ballpark of between $200 - $300. But well worth it! We had a blast as did the kids. We just took our time and enjoyed ourselves. It was our "rest" day.

After doing the tour around Epcot if you still find yourself looking for one more, walk over to Big River Grille at the Boardwalk. They brew right on site. Last summer we vacationed in Nashville and found out that Big River is a chain - 3 brewery restaurants in Tennesee and the one at Boardwalk. The one in Nashville is enormous. My husband loved their Hefeweizen and Pilsner. They had flights at the Nashville location, not sure about at Boardwalk and have no idea what they are currently brewing.

If you have a beer in each country, it'll run about $75-$85 per person (not including tips). But you can't put a price on riding the Maelstrom completely bombed out of your gourd. I'm pretty sure that polar bear was real....
