Beer steins in Germany at Epcot?

I work in Michigan - funny you are the only other school that I have ever head of that has such a crazy first week schedule. As a teacher I must say it makes my first week transitioning back much easier.

Enjoy you last few days off :)

I don't know about others, but DH just displays his, except the one you get when you buy the beer at Epcot, but that is the only time he drinks out of it, because it is hard to wash (we don't have a dishwasher).

He prefers his beer in a bottle.

Beer drinker here, and I have a few steins, but only drink from the bottle or can unless it's a large bottle or keg, then I use an engraved glass beer mug. Those steins are hard to clean, have inconvenient lids and develop a funny taste quickly. But so pretty.

I think most of the country has already gone back to school! I agree with you, it makes the first week easier. I am not quite as anxious about going back because of having Thursday and Friday off. But I know that next week will be harder since it is the first full week. I find that going back from school breaks throughout the year is tough, but once we complete that first 5-day week, the rest of them seem to just fly by! So I try and keep that in mind when I get sad about being away from my kids again. They are 3 and 5. DS5 is starting Kindergarten on Wednesday. DS3 started nursery school last year, and he went 3 full days a week (my parents watched him the other 2 days). This year, he is going 5 full days a week. So, for the first time, BOTH of my kids will be in school full time every day. That makes it easier to go back to work than past years, but it is still hard because we had such a wonderful summer together! DH is a teacher too, which is wonderful! :)

I have the same schedule! We had to go back for our first two "teacher days" on Wed and Thurs. Then we have 2 days with the kids Tues/Wed, off Thurs and Fri!

I find that Sam Adams glass in the commercials is actually a fantastic glass for beer.

Well, Disney wrote back to me. Bad news though...they can't sell me the beer stein through the mail. :sad2:

But...now I know...and it will be fine to wait. I will get DH something different this year, and when we go back in 2012 I will pick up a beer stein for that year's holiday gift.

OH that stinks! I wonder why. Maybe because it's fragile, they don't want to be responsible for shipping unless it's actually sold through the disneyshopping website or something. :confused3 Who knows.

They did say that there are so many different kinds, and they change fairly often, so it is a difficult product to be made available through mail order. Oh well...yes, it sucks, but now at least I learned that I should buy them there, and I can do that on the next trip! At least our DVC home is Boardwalk Villas, so I can take a quick walk over to Epcot on a day when we are not going to a theme park and just hanging at the resort. (I get an AP, so it's flexible!).
