What brands of beer are they serving now on DCL? Last time in 2000 it was Miller Lite mostly, and although not my usual cup of tea, I needed a frosty beverage!!!! Any chance they've got the King of Beers on tap now??? I was sad to hear they turned the ESPN sports bar into a teen room, is there somewhere else on the the Disney Magic to go watch the game or SportsCenter and put myself on an ETOH IV? Thanks in advance...... pirate:

I don't remember seeing the "King of Beers" since I'm a Miller Lite girl myself, but I do know that they had some other beers on tap. One that I remember in particular was Yueng Lueng (sp?) that's a local beer from PA.

Have no fear, you'll get to enjoy watching the game in the Pub, now called Diversions. We sailed during Football season, so we found this place toot-sweet :teeth:

Theyve got Corona, and that's good enough for me.....slightly disappointed though that they didnt have Red Stripe though.... (when in Rome!!!!)

The employees and wholesalers of THE American Beer Company thank you for your support!!!

Other than wine with dinner, we never found time to have an "adult" beverage of any kind. Guess we'll have to go back.
Never found time to swim in the pools either, or visit the night clubs. We WERE put off by them allowing smoking in the night clubs. Guess we're spoiled in California with the ban on smoking in restaurants and bars.

Thank you for the link & the excellent info you guys & girls. Here's the list from the link:

"Here's a complete list of the beers available onboard:
On tap
* Budweiser
* Miller Lite USD 3.25

22-ounce glass mug can be purchased for USD 9.95.
* Heineken USD 4.00
In cans
* Budweiser
* Bud Lite
* Coors Light
* Ice House
* Miller Genuine Draft
* Miller Lite USD 3.25
* Beck's
* Guinness
* Heineken USD 3.75
In bottles
* Amstell Light
* Bass
* Corona USD 3.75

These are the beers available at most full-service bars. They also serve the draft selections at various stands set up on Decks 9 and 10 during the day.

There is a refillable mug deal where you can get your 22-ounce mug refilled with one of the draft selections for the price of 16-ounces. This a heavy glass mug... I personally wouldn't want to carry it around."

I got the above info from Dave's DCL tribute site. I would also like to know if this is still accurate or if there are other varieties now offered. If one gets the big mug deal, is it only a deal if one drinks Bud or Miller Lite? YUCK!
NO microbrews at all? Not even something on par with Sam Adams?
(anyone experiencing deja vu may find I made this posting some months back but never got a response about the micro or at least "better" beer available question...) May have to BYOB some nice hefeweizen and lemons!"

I, Hogie1, do enjoy a frosty beverage while on a cruise and pretty much don't go anywhere empty handed. I can sleep now knowing that Mickey will be ready to quench my thirst when we come aboard in October. To Kikipug, you to may rest easy as I will continue my support in keeping your jobs afloat as a proud client of your products!!! And Poohsmum, thanks for the info on Diversions so I can watch the Patriots charge to another Super Bowl!!! :groom:

While I can't comment on the beers available on board I wanted to clarify that one of the posters above was trying to spell "Yuengling" which is America's oldest brewery located in PA. Don't feel bad, I had to get out one of the pilsner glass from our trip to the brewery to spell it.

They definately have Bud lite.....I was upset that ESPN was gone but you'll LOVE diversions......It's a "cheers
" type" pub. Don't miss the beer tasting on a day at sea and DON'T MISS THE SKIT that they put on at around 11:00 Friday....it is the funniest thing I ever saw!!! :rotfl2:

I drank Michelob Ultra the entire time on the Magic in March. They had it on tap at a few places and if not, they had it in cans. They would fill up my glass mug with the can and charge me the discounted price.

the wonder had bud and bud light and amber bock on draft last week at the bar by the mickey pool - and also miller lite - the amber bock was quite good on draft I thought.

If I'm not mistaken, they also have Guinness on draft in Diversions (not only in cans). At least they did last September.
