Does the Rose and Crown still do the beer seminar during the festival. I haven't seen it listed in any of the events. It also doesn't mention if samples of beer are still a part of the Sam Adams presentation.

The Rose and Crown beer seminar wasn't held last year, sadly.

Looks like Sam Adams is still on though.

I do wish they would put some effort into inviting some micro-brewers in and doing some tastings there are so many fantastic beers in the U.S. but most people think American Beers are just the MegaBrewers.

I agree 100%. Part of why I love F&W is trying new things, especially when it comes to beverages:thumbsup2 While I love Sam Adams, I've pretty much had all they have to offer, and I would love to see offerings from brewers that are "off the beaten path."

Hi all!
I agree also that if anyone has been a faithful participant of the Food and Wine Festival (and there are many, many of us) that the Sam Adams tasting is there every year and is becoming at least a bore to me.

I really enjoy Sam Adams beer but I find it a waste to keep attending a beer tasting seminar that I've done many times. I wish they could bring in some new beer tastings to the festival also.

I know that Disney has many new customers each year but Disney has to realize that there are also many of us that are repeat customers and they need to keep it interesting for us returning fans. I know that Disney does a pretty good job though at trying to keep new wine companys coming in each year though.

I know that last year (2007) that the beer tasting at the UK was not there disappointingly. We really won't know if they will reinstate the UK tasting for 2008 until we all get our hands on the Food/Wine Festival Guide booklet. Hopefully, someone that goes to opening weekend on 9/26 will be gracious enough to post a copy of the booklet for us all.

i'm in full agreement with all of the postings. Sam Adams has cases with samples every kind of beer made by them. a goal of mine is to sample that which i've never had or at least haven't had in quite a while.

it is the main reason for my attending this year with DW and her brother plus family. no worries about drivers etc. because we are staying at BW

my default is the Fosters or Harp.

The exclusive Samuel Adams WDW Octoberfest (not to be confused with its regular Octoberfest) is an outstanding, full-bodied, richly-flavored brew. Unfortunately, but understandably, it is not served in clear glasses.

It is particularly good as a complement to the Maine Lobster Roll!

All the best.

The one your talking about is the Festival Brew. It is made especially for the food and wine. Last year they kept selling out of it. And you can get it in a clear glass if you want to buy the souvenir glass. If you like the ocktoberfest beer make sure you try this one because it is great!!!!! By far my fav beer. Just wish I could get it more than once a year. And I will agree with the lobster roll part, and I also love the crab cakes.

The souvenir glass looks like a future purchase!

Well I need to rephrase the clear glass is one of those thick heavy plastic glasses, not actual glass. But it is clear!! Plus has the food and wine logo on it. It is a little more expensive but also holds more beer than the regular cups. Can't wait for it only one more week, sitting drinking my sam adams and watching big bad voodoo daddy
