Beer at pool

People need to learn the art of the "Road Soda" as I call it.

1. Get yourself a inconspicuous large cup (I find 7-11 Big Gulp or Super Big Gulp cups work nicely).
2. Fill with beverage of choice.
3. Drink it where you like.

I was going to suggest the "put it in a cup in your room and bring to the pool" method.

I think the "Road Soda" will be the tactic of choice.....................I always bring a small rolling cooler filled with cans and munchies with me to all my onsite Disney stays without ever having a problem....................... We will still order specialty drinks and food from the pool bars and always tip the Bar keeps very well.
I even used it in Hawaii..............Never an issue.
I guess I will have to be covert and enjoy a few "Road Soda's".

You could also rent a Cabana and bring in water bottles that had been filled with clear adult beverages or several big gulp cups and put them in the fridge. At least that way you could lay there like a slug and not have to keep going back to room to get another road soda

I also bet I could "insulate" my wife's purse or a beach bag (that you normally stuff towels and beach stuff into) sufficiently to carry a good number of beverages down. Then just discreetly refill the road soda cup as needed....

You're overthinking this. A $2 plastic reusable starbux cup (everyone drinks starbies) with your softsided cooler and you will be fine. Any other clear resort issued cup is ok too (no red solos). Just be discreet (not secretive).

Someone above said no coolers though, hence my thoughts on an insulated purse or beach bag.

I used an insulated beach bag. It is a cooler that looks like a beach bag. I buy a beer from the bar and then refill with our own supply. We also buy specialty drinks and food from bar/pool side waiter.

Even just a can coozie is fine. That's usually what we do, and have never had an issue. I would never bring a cooler though, that's a little over-the-top...just my opinion.
