Beer at Downtown Disney?

I can't find the post, but I thought somebody said there is a market at DTD where you can buy a cold one to enjoy while you browse the area.

Anybody familiar with this?

Hmmm...not sure about that, but one of the barmaids at the R&R Beach Club informed DH that for "imports" they had Molson, Corona, and Sam Adams. I kid you not.

Wolfgang Puck's Express has bottles of beer you can purchase but I don't think you're allowed to leave the patio area with them.

I believe you can buy beer at the Gourmet Market in the Shopping Village area. But I don't think you are permitted to just open the bottle on the spot and start walking around drinking.

Veteran Pleasure Island/DD folks would probably be able to verify that--?

I know on the dock there is a stand that sells Margaritas in a plastic cup that you can walk around with. I speak form experience. I bet they have beer in a cup.

Yes, they sell canned beer at the Gourmet Market. I have purchased there many times, and have never had a problem drinking it anywhere in DD (except inside the stores of course). You can also buy beer at a little popcorn cart, but the prices are better at the market.
