I was wondering, with Blizzard Beach and River Country closed, how bad are the crowds at Typhoon Lagoon? We will be at WDW in early April and were planning to go to BB, but just found out that the rehab was extended. Our plan was to go right when the park opens for a few hours. I was thinking about just going to Typhoon Lagoon instead, but now I wonder what it will be like if it's the only WDW water park open.

thanks!

It was not at all bad last Sunday, but it was too cold. I left and went in search of hot tubs.

We went this past Wednesday and it was very crowded I thought. Lines everywhere- we waited 30 minutes for the family raft ride and were disappointed that it was like 90 seconds long. We also went on the storm slides and the line was maybe 15 minutes long? It was the first sunny and hot day in 5 days so that was a factor as well.

I had to chuckle after reading this. :p While waiting in line, my husband had commented how nice it was that you didn't seem to have to carry your raft very far (unlike here in Michigan where the waterparks make you haul it a long ways). Well when we got to the end of the slide, we realized why!! We were all laughing so hard, we could hardly get out of the raft! ~:p~

I was there on Sat and it wasn't that bad. BB is reopening on the 15th. Well it looks like they pushed the opening back some more. 2 weeks ago it was this weekend but now it is April 9th.

We were there on Wed (3/5) and found it very crowded! The previous five days had been cold/rainy/overcast - Wed. was 85 with full sun. Everyone was there and no chairs available after 10:30am. We did the shark reef around noon and there were no lines there though - perfect weather for that. Bodies were thick in the wave pool.

Went again this last Sat. (3/8) which was overcast but warm (80 by afternoon). What a difference! Wed., thurs, fri had been sunny plus Sat. was the only showing of spectro at MK for the week. Chairs available all day, no lines for any slides. We tried the family raft ride :p - quite the dissapointment compared to BB's family raft. The kids practically had the kiddie area to themselves and played all day. We got there before opening and left at closing - what a full, fun day.

Sorry for folks that are having BB's opening delayed. We were sad as well, hope to catch it next trip......

Heidi- We were at TL the same day, the same time! How funny...we were lucky to score some lounge chairs, but I couldn't believe how crowded it was by 10:15!! I'm glad the crowds were better for you on Saturday...we elected to hit the MK early that day and we left by 1 to catch our flight home. :(

but the family raft ride at TL is such a joke. I was so Pi**** off after waiting 40 min in line. I don't see the point in the ride at all. It should be called a photo spot not a ride.

I don't know how I missed seeing you there, lol! I think everyone was there that day, it was beautiful weather. I tried to get my group (11 people, 6 of them kids) to get there by 10 am but we didn't get there until 10:15, too late  The shark reef was fantastic, almost made it worth it. How crowded was MK on Sat morning?
