48 years ago when the old visitor center was scenic oriented...so we did about 200 yards..
4 years ago went to pick up nephew climber... very disappointed in new set-up...of course it was foggy and misty and super crowded...give me anytime ...

No to Santiam Pass. We were highly impressed with Rainier, and have been there twice. What's impressive it there are no other peaks nearby to visually compete with it. Paradise Inn is beautiful, historic and the food ain't bad!
