Should we do November 22nd-27th! Pay peak prices and have high crowds, but be there on Turkey Day.
OR
January 20-25th!
First night at Hilton DTD and then move to Port Orleans French Quarter
on the 21st and stay for free dining until the 25th.

Aww I will be so bummed....you'll be my 2nd DISmeet canceling and postponing....but I agree if you family is in stride w/ pushing it back to Jan then you should because hey know what.....

I'm going to be there Jan 20-23 w/ the Spectrum Mom's (see other PTR link in my siggie)...so I can still meet you and your family then! You just won't meet my DH and kiddos.

I'm back again! So sorry to get behind. I've been extremely busy. I went to Buffalo by myself to visit an old friend and got back a few days ago. I have pictures to upload and share. Hopefully, I can get those up later on today. I have a pile of papers to grade that is exactly 2 feet high and grades close this week. Good thing the Dolphins are playing today.
I've joined the dark side and finally made a Facebook. I was able to find a lot of you but not everyone. Send me your info. and I'll add you. Jackie and Brooke-- check your friend requests.
I last left off with the great Thanksgiving vs. January debate. This is what it has come down to. DH and I have Seaworld passes. Mitch's expires in April and mine goes bad the end of December. The girls haven't been to Seaworld in about forever. There is a FL. resident promotion going on that if you buy one ticket you get the 2nd for 5$ (Feel free to copy, Disney) DH's doesn't want to get disney tickets this time he thinks it would be stupid not to go to Seaworld. The girls' tickets will be a total of 75$ and DH hardly were in the park on our couples' trip since we both got a virus. DH wants to do 23rd-28th at the Dolphin. We'd spend about 2 days in Seaworld and then the rest at Disney without going into the parks. I didn't want to go at all if we weren't going into the Disney parks but now I'm growing to this idea. I made a few resort ADRs. Doing this I can do DIS meets. I have to put a plan together and then we'll talk.
As far as January goes, DH said yes as long as he doesn't have to travel and he can take off. He'll know the weekend of the 5th. That weekend we'll probably book both trips.
So that's where we're up to.

OK...so if I've got this right you're going to Seaworld but no Disney parks but you'll still be able to do DIS meets. Sounds like a good plan to me! LOL

Hannah wants to go to Seaworld so maybe one of these days we'll do something like that.

As far as January goes, DH said yes as long as he doesn't have to travel and he can take off. He'll know the weekend of the 5th. That weekend we'll probably book both trips.

25th Thanksgiving day we'll be at a combo of 3 resorts 9:30 am Chef Mickey's ADR, hanging out at BLT for the afternoon unless we do some mini golfing and then WCC 4:50 ADR for dinner at WL

28th we leave too we'll be at BLT before leaving on DME around 2:30 ish

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. The kids had a great time and got a ton of candy. I'm uploading my pictures to the computer now.
Oh, and Toy Story 3 came out on DVD yesterday. I picked my copy up and we've already watched it twice. (Oh, don't I have a life!) If you didn't get yours yet, you can get it at CVS Pharmacy for 4$ when you spend 25$ on PG products. (That's paper towels, toilet paper, etc. There are a few different brands in that category.)

Now down to business. I have good news and bad news. I'll do the bad news first. Emily hurt her foot really badly the other and can not walk! This would happen 3 weeks before Disney. We're not sure how she hurt it. The doctor thinks something with a tissue. She didn't go to school today and if it's not better before Friday then she'll get x-rays and crutches. Unless she makes a miraculous recovery then I'm not going to Disney with a kid on crutches. Thank Gosh, we didn't tell the kids yet. Please pray for a quick recovery. She is very upset because she has her states competition for marching band in 2 weeks and will be going to Universal with the band, her birthday and party, and 'her gut is telling her we're going to Disney for Thanksgiving.'

The good news is not only did I get one new job I got two. For those of you who don't know, I am an art teacher and got laid off about a year and half ago. This last Spring I got a 50% job in a brand new school. Then last week I got called for another interview for another 50% job. I was told I didn't get the job and then the next day I got a phone call saying I did get the job. I'm so excited about this new job and I start on Monday. To make Mickey extra happy, I got called yesterday from a lady in Buffalo, NY, asking me to create art projects and mail them to her for her zoo. I'm going to be super busy but I'm super excited.

For Disney, if Emily can't walk is just doesn't make since to go, in my opinion. If we have to call this trip off then we could go WL for the January trip.

I'm sorry! We are booked to go as long as E is o.k. (check above update!) January will definitely work. Our dates are the 20-25th. The plans are 20th- Arrive at night and head to DTD.
21st- AK, rest at resort, dinner at 'Ohana, and PM EMH at Epcot.
22nd- MK all day
23rd- Epcot all day
Do we overlap at all? I'll post this on the group PTR when I get a chance.

23rd- We're arriving after dinner and heading to DTD. That won't work.
25th- The plans are DTD, after lunch head to GF to see the decorations. We can take the monorail to BLT if you'd like and we can meet up on the beach or maybe at the CR arcade if it's too cold out. We have a 4:00 ADR at Boma. What are your evening plans? Would you want to come over to the BW maybe if we don't meet earlier in the day?

Thank you Connie! I did think about that. I just think she'll be miserable in a wheelchair but I'll talk to her about it. We are going in January and March.

That's terrible about Emily's foot, hope nothing too serious! It's odd, I woke up this morning and my knee was hurting really bad whenever I bent it. I asked my 1st period teacher to just stand up all class period since we were just watching a movie. He let me. I was pretty much fine after that though, I just have no idea how it started hurting! Praying Emily will be alright

Congratulations on the school job. I am very interested in seeing the art projects for the zoo, too. You know I am all about things zoo-ish! I want to come down there and do art projects with you!

So sorry about Emily's injury. These busy kids don't have time for silly nonsense like being hurt. Poor girl - thinking about missing so many fun things. I hope she does heal very quickly and can be a part of all of her events.

Wilderness Lodge in January does sound very nice, and January is just a blink away.

Just got back from the DR. Emily has a minor sprain and got crutches with an air cast. She'll have it for about 2-3 weeks.

Ok at first I was confused this is January.....

we will be at the EMH at Epcot (1-21) and then MK at night for parade, Wishes and a few rides (1-22)

so this will definetly work whether or not you make it over T-giving break. I jotted down a quick note in my Jan planner
