Been There, Done That, and Yes, We’re Going Back! New 5/8- I'm back!

I hope the first day went well! I remember always wanting to wear my new school clothes the first day, but all my new clothes were long sleeves and pants! I was roasting - even in Minnesota it's still hot in August.

I hope Amy's wrist heals quickly!

good catching up w/ you...not borring at all...hey it's life and Toy Story mac and cheese I agree...very cool!

Hope everyone had a great first day. I always thought first days were the toughest! Everyone still wants to be in the "summer state of mind".

Hey everyone,
Sorry to leave you all for so long! Since school started we've been super busy. I've also gotten my but in gear for the trip. Mrs. Trip Binder finally got through to me to make a binder and now she's bothering me about spreadsheets! Oh, and ADR day for the March trip is next week! I have no plan and I don't know where we want to eat. Yikes! Tomorrow I finally get the car back! Tomorrow is also a 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM day! That's what it's been like for the past three weeks. I promise to post some real updates this weekend.
Until then funny story: Tonight at dinner Mitch was being his normal "Toy 'R Us kid" making the kids laugh and having a good time. It's not that I don't like to see my kids have a good time but Emily was laughing insane and jumping up and down like an idiot. I said "Please don't do that when we meet my DIS friends!"
*Family is laughing so hard and spits out drink*
"Dis meet?!"
"Yea, my "DIS BLOG" friends."
"We're meeting them?!"
"Yup, one has kids your age, Amy!"
Mitch: 'Trip's off!"
Me: Very funny!
Trust me, they're excited to meet everyone. :lmao:

    Emily may be older than Hannah but I think they would get along just fine!

:lmao: Too funny! I can't tell you how many times I have said similar things at dinner -- sometimes they all (Charles being the ringleader) act like hooligans at the table -- luckily they seem to remember how to behave when we are out in public.

Some old projects.
Drum roll please......
:rockband:
Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for.
Presenting the projects that I really need to finish.
First, the autograph book. This may just be for Emily. I was originally going to make one for both but Amy has room left in her old one and this is taking me for ever.
The front cover.

I need to laminate this.
A few pages.

There are two of this one. One for Woody and one for Jessie.

Some royalty.

Tink. I made two other fairy ones that can be used for any fairy since we don't know who will be out and about when we go to pixie hollow.

For the autograph book I bought a 4X6 index cards on a spiral. The character signs on one side and the picture goes on the other and then I laminate it. I have like 25 done and 25 left to go.
Last and probably least, the passport. I don't like it so much-- I'll probably start all over.

For this I took a paper folder with prongs and cut the upper right corner off.

Great job on theautograph book and passport! I need to get the girls passports bound and finish printing out the autograph cards.

Why don't you like the Passport? I think it looks great!!!

Love your idea on the index cards - so easy, yet will be so nice!

I like the cover's paper...maybe it's the stickers :confused3 though that doesn't match...here is a thought...have an old Epcot map? cut out a Mickey head from that center that and use black stickers to spell out the title around it....

JAT
and looking forward to more of your updates under 70 days now for us :goodvibes

Just starting reading your report, and I loved your Toy Story party especially the alien cupcakes! I think the only characters DS4 wants to meet are Buzz, Woody, and Bullseye. Enjoying reading your report!

Let's play a game of pretend. Let's pretend that rather than being 69 days away from Disney we're 70 days away for the purpose of this update since I didn't have time to update yesterday.
O.k?:flower3:
Thank you!:woohoo:
70 days until Disney! (don't forget the game!) I have a feeling these next 70 days are just going to soar on by. In honor of 70 days I've come up with the 7 things I'm looking forward to most. Well.... I had to make categories since choosing 7 is next to impossible. 5 categories times 7 equals 35 top musts.
First park is Hollywood Studios. DHS is only first because I'm going in order of my raid plan.
1. Toy Story Mania. Who doesn't enjoy a spin on this baby!
2. Drawing classes. Amy and I love to do these. Our goal is to do at least three. Mitch and Emily aren't that into it so after the first one I know they're going to be begging to go.
3. Osbourne lights. Pure greatness. Must I say anymore?
4. Great Movie Ride. This is usually a snooze fest for my family but I like it.
5. Muppets. I've heard they changed it?
6. Fantasmic! I haven't seen this in forever! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the crowds but it should be worth it. As long as Mitch has his nap we should be fine, meltdown-wise.
7. Beauty and The Beast! Can you believe I haven't seen this beauty yet?!

Magic Kingdom-- Oh, how I love you!
1. Castle lighting show. Gets me every time. Another Pure magic.
2. Carousel of Progress. My poor kids have never had the joy of seeing this. O.k, o.k, either have I! We must fix this.
3. Main Street Electrical Parade! How does one stay still through out this music?
4. 3 PM parade! I haven't seen these seen the girls were little.
5. Tiki Room! It's been a while since I've visited my friends who like to hang out in this enchanted place.
6. Pixie Hollow! I can't wait to be shrunk down to the size of a fly. Amy, being a fairy lover, will be on cloud 9.:cloud9:
7. Dole whip! I've yet to have the joy on noshing on one of these bad boys.

Of course, I'm looking forward to visiting pirates, assisting Buzz in defeating the evil empire Zurg, flying over Never Land, etc. I just tried to choose some 'different' things.

Epcot! How I love you as well.
1. Soarin!' Must I say anymore?
2. World Showcase. We visit it every trip for the rides but I haven't been in the further back countries in forever. We'll probably do this after Kona.
3. Innovations. We never spend enough time here.
4. Holidays around the world. This is new for us.
5. Illuminations from IN the park. We missed it last year and on the couples trip in April we didn't go in the parks but we saw it from our balcony every night.
6. Character Connection. I like that the fab 5 hang out together here.
7. KP missions. I know, I know! I can not believe I'm saying this.
Last but oh so not least, Animal Kingdom.
1. Jammin Jingle Parade! MeMom's pictures always make me want to see this and this trip I finally will.
2. Kilamanjaro Safari! Who doesn't enjoy this?!
3. Festival of the Lion King. I haven't seen this in forever.
4. The trails. We hardly ever do this.
5. Expedition Everest! Ride it? No! Crazy! Not this chickie in this lifetime. I just want pictures.:thumbsup2
6. NICE weather. We haven't had nice weather on our Animal Kingdom day on forever! I'll go crazy if we don't have a nice day there this trip.
7. Camp Minnie and Mickey! It's been to long since I've been here.
Moving away from the parks for my next category, out of the parks.
1. Polynesion. I haven't been here in at LEAST 8 years. I must investigate if the 'scent' everyone talks about it actually true! Our Kona ADR will bring us here at last.
2. MY Wilderness Lodge! I'd like to get here at some point.
3. The Boardwalk. We almost always stay on the BW! It will be hard not to this trip but we'll be sure to make a point to get here one night.
4. Animal Kingdom Lodge! I KNOW we'll get here since um.. well, we're staying here.
5. Downtown Disney! We love DTD and always have so much fun here.
6. Fort Wilderness. We have a lot of ground to cover here to ensure we say all of the decorations.
7. The monorail. I could clue my but on here and be a happy girl. I never get tired of the recording.
So there you have it! Now get out there and have some fun in the parks.
Your host,
Barbara!
Sorry, couldn't resist a Stacy ending.

Great lists Barbara...we have many of the same things on our list...

I can't wait to see all the Holiday stuff...I'm sure I'll cry when they light the castle...I get chills just thinking of it :goodvibes

trying new things I like that mantra!!!

Hope you love Beauty and the Beast.

Brooklynn wanted to do the Tiki Room this summer, but for some reason, we just never got to it. It's going high on the list for the one day we will be in Magic Kingdom in October.

Soarin'. :thumbsup2

#1-4 of Animal Kingdom = :cool1: :woohoo:  :yay:
#5 = :scared1:

Resort hopping is always a favorite way to spend Disney time for me.

Happy trip planning!

Great list! You are sure to make some wonderful memories. :goodvibes

I hadn't heard if they re-did Muppets? If so I will KICK myself for not going this past trip!!! :sad2: I just thought it was "in the works"...
