Been There, Done That and ThenSome:Timandlesley Do Disneyfor18days!11/2 TR IS UP!pg79

I really want to hit Innoventions on our September trip, and your Epcot day makes me want to do it even more! All those games that you've described sound like a blast! I'm sorry to hear Tim was in pain so much to rent an ECV, but looks like it was a good move!

What a great Epcot day - Innoventions looks like so much fun! Great to see Sleeping Beauty, and I can't believe Cinderella was welcoming people at the gateway - how awesome would that be if it was your first day, to be welcomed by Cinderella! Looks like you all had fun at the pool, too bad your friends had to move resorts, but you'll have a great time together next year, I'm sure!

Sounds like another GREAT day! What a relief to have some nice, cool weather for a change!!! I would LOVE to be able to come back to the hotel, and not be a total sweatpool!!!!!

I had no idea Innoventions had so many cool things to do. I saw on youtube a video of a piggy bank activity where you take the piggy bank to different stations and it teaches you about saving and investing money. Did you try that one?
I think it's great that you and Diane's family get along so great!:thumbsup2 Sounds like you guys have fun together.
Are the kids coming with you for Food & Wine now? Yay for Luke and Lauren! Another Disney trip!:yay:

Sounds like you guys had another great day. :goodvibes How lucky you guys were to see Aurora & Cinderella at Epcot. Can't wait to read more.:)

Great update! Sweet idea about the ECV for Tim! Laurens expressions in your pics are just adorable!

Can't wait for more!

Great updates! Lauren look beautiful after BBB! The pictures with the "granny cap" on is too cute. That is really nice that they were giving them out so no ones hair got messed up. Luke and Tim seemed to have a good day also and it really funny to see how much alike they are.

You Epcot day seemed fun also. It really stinks that Tims knee was bothering him so much but at least that day the ECV worked out.

Looking forward to reading more!

What a fun day!! I had no clue that there was a video game thing. We'll for sure be doing this! Also, where is the garbage thing? It sounds great. Don't you just love the interactiveness of Epcot?! :thumbsup2 I'm glad Tim got an ECV...I'm sure it helped a lot. And it looks like another great day for your family!! :goodvibes

Great Update... :thumbsup2
Thanks for the info on Innoventions. My DS will love the video game exhibit. He loves video games....and to put himself in one; well I am sure he will be all over that. The Velcro exhibit looks like fun also.

I am enjoying reading all of your trip report...I can't wait for the next update. I just wish my DH loved going to WDW as much as yours seems to. I would love to go every year, but there is now way he would. You guys look like you have a great time. I wish he could see this! When we do go, I plan and he follows... Don't get me wrong, he has a great time, but would rather go different places instead of Disney all the time. He's killing me!! LOL.

Ya know, maybe those people thought that squirrels at Disney World don’t have all the diseases that squirrels outside the most magical place on earth have, and won’t bite! LOL

Tim was SO funny at that baby race. Loved the video, I’m so glad Diane captured it on film! The pictures just didn’t do it justice.

At the spot where Cinderella was, last year we saw Chip and Dale there as we were walking through the IG. We just walked right up, waited behind maybe 2 people, and then got to take our pictures with them. There wasn’t a photopass photographer there, however. But it was still great! I didn’t realize how rare it is to have them do that, guess I was one of the lucky ones!

You got some really great pictures of “your future” on SE. I always have a hard time.

Poor Tim but glad he got the ECV, looks like he was MUCH happier that way.

Is making the bead necklaces free? (Looks like it) Gotta love Disney!

That was so nice that you got to hang out with Diane so much through the trip. Hers and your kids look like they get along great! Too funny that she was showing y’all how to braid Lauren’s hair when she has 2 boys. Hehe

I have been keeping up with your trip report. Checking in each day to see if there's a new installment.:surfweb:

You and your beautiful family bring tears to my eyes every time I read!
You are truly blessed-not only (first and foremost) for being a beautiful and loving family but you go to Disney World every year!!
We've only been once-this past April-and my DD wants to go back ASAP. We waited until she was 10 to take her. Oh-to be able to have a re-do!
Would've have gone much sooner. I WANT A RE-DO!

Can't wait for day 12!!:)

Thanks for your wonderful writing and fabulous pics!

What a nice update..Glad the weather cooled down for you.
I will have to remember to do the ellen ride..we have never done that-We have not done A LOT at epcot. I hope to spend more time in that park this December.
Hope Tims knee gets to feeling better...Did he call his doctor and have them call in some pain medicine? I dont usually take anything like that but I think if I were in Disney I would make a exception.
Man the kids sure are growing! I remember reading your TR back in 2006 (I think)...they were just babies.:goodvibes

~Farrah

Love the last few updates, but what is up with people touching a wild squirrel:scared1: I hope they washed their hands, AHHH GROOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

Great updates Tim and Lesley ! Loved the girls/boys day.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds like you had a fantastic day. After reading yours and Diane's report, we are gonna have make sure we hit Innovations on our next trip down there.:yay:
Yes, definitely try and fit it in, you will love it!

Hi Lesley and Tim - just thought I would post this for a fellow baseball lover. My husband and older son are in NY tonight for the Red sox/Yankees game. They are Red sox fans but if I get any good pics of the new stadium I will post them for you.
Tim was super excited they swept em', hope they enjoyed the new stadium, can't wait to experience it firsthand someday.

Great update Lesley!! I LOVE the video of Tim & the babies!! Sooo funny!! We also love to watch the Jammitors. What a cute pic of Lauren with Aurora!! Sounds like you had a great Epcot day.:thumbsup2

Oh & petting a squirrel??? What??? I guess because it is a Disney squirrel it wont bite??:rotfl2:
Glad you enjoyed the video. Jammitors are great! I know,w hat is up with the people petting the squirrel!?!

Loved hearing about Tim and Luke's day. Run, cripple, run! That's hilarious! And you should always listen to mom. Never forget those ponchos! Sounds like a fun morning for just the two guys together.

We're definitely going to have to check out Innoventions. For some reason we just never make it there. I remember you talking about the Velcro show in your report last year and thought we'd do it this year, but we still didn't do it. Maybe I do that on purpose - gives me a reason to go back again for something new that we haven't done yet.

You guys sure do pack all the fun you can into each day. Can't believe there's still seven days to go.
I know, Luke has definitely developed his father's humor : ) Yes, you will enjoy Innoventions! Yes, having something new to do each time definitely can keep you coming back : )

Wow...another novel for me and and so much fun reading it all!!! Lauren is so beautiful in all of her BBB pictures and how fun to have a mothers/daughters day and then fathers/son day! Sorry the rain got you a little bit but you made the best of it, as always! :cool1:

Tim - you did a great job on your reporting! It's always nice to hear the other side of the story! Luke is so adorable in the pictures you posted and I can tell you guys had a great time together being goofy! :lmao: Nothing wrong with being goofy! Sorry your knee was giving you grief....

Loved the EPCOT pictures again and I love how you all do all the little things together and find joy in most everything! :thumbsup2

Heather
Glad you enjoyed the "novel" : ) Also happy you enjoyed Tim's reporting, the boys love being goofy together ; )

Loved the update!!! Oh my goodness, the velcro station looks so much fun! I will definitely be hitting that up in Sept.

Happy you enjoyed it, you will love it!
I really want to hit Innoventions on our September trip, and your Epcot day makes me want to do it even more! All those games that you've described sound like a blast! I'm sorry to hear Tim was in pain so much to rent an ECV, but looks like it was a good move!
Hope you will find time in September to enjoy Innoventions, such fun! Yes, the ECV was a great move for us.
What a great Epcot day - Innoventions looks like so much fun! Great to see Sleeping Beauty, and I can't believe Cinderella was welcoming people at the gateway - how awesome would that be if it was your first day, to be welcomed by Cinderella! It was a great Epcot day, just LOVE that park! I know, I couldn't believe Cindy was there, so cool! Yes, we see eachother more this trip too, no worries : )
Sounds like another GREAT day! What a relief to have some nice, cool weather for a change!!! I would LOVE to be able to come back to the hotel, and not be a total sweatpool!!!!!

Are the kids coming with you for Food & Wine now? Yay for Luke and Lauren! Another Disney trip!:yay:
Innoventions sure does, you'll have to do it next time. No, we missed the piggy bank but I saw it, looked fun! We do have fun together. Yes, kids are coming along now, we got MNSSHP tickets and then we are putting them in child care one night and hitting Food and Wine by ourselves, it was our compromise : )

Sounds like you guys had another great day. :goodvibes How lucky you guys were to see Aurora & Cinderella at Epcot. Can't wait to read more.:)
Yes, it was another great day, glad you enjoyed reading about it.

Great update! Sweet idea about the ECV for Tim! Laurens expressions in your pics are just adorable!

Can't wait for more!
Yes, the ECV helped us out big time! I know, Lauren is quite the ham ; )

Great updates! Lauren look beautiful after BBB! The pictures with the "granny cap" on is too cute. That is really nice that they were giving them out so no ones hair got messed up. Luke and Tim seemed to have a good day also and it really funny to see how much alike they are.

Happy you enjoyed the updates. I loved her after BBB, so cute! Yes, I was happy for the granny cap! Yes, ECV was a great investment.

What a fun day!! I had no clue that there was a video game thing. We'll for sure be doing this! Also, where is the garbage thing? It sounds great. Yes, the video game thing was GREAT! The Garbage thing is right next to it, I think it's in Innoventions West but don't quote me on that.

Great Update... :thumbsup2
Thanks for the info on Innoventions. My DS will love the video game exhibit. He loves video games....and to put himself in one; well I am sure he will be all over that. The Velcro exhibit looks like fun also.
Yes, your DS will love it, such fun! Hope you get to check it all out!

AWESOME!!! I am really enjoying your report..as always! :)
Thanks so much! Thanks for reading/posting.

So happy you are enjoying it, next update coming tonight! I'm sorry your DH isn't on board, that would be tough, I am very fortunate. I do plan and Tim follows but he enjoys it tremendously so that is great! So sorry : (

Glad you enjoyed the video, it was such a fun day. Yeah, the pictures on Space ship Earth turned out which made me happy. Yeah, the necklaces were free.

fun Fun Fun update!!! You guys did alot of cool activities at Epcot and the resort:cool1:
So happy you enjoyed the update. Yeah, we had fun at Epcot!

Hi Farrah, it was a fun day, glad you enjoyed reading about it. The Ellen ride was pretty good, a lot better than I thought it would be. No, he had some med's with him that he took and some anti inflammitories, didn't help too much. I know, my babies are growing sooooooo fast!!!
Love the last few updates, but what is up with people touching a wild squirrel:scared1: I hope they washed their hands, AHHH GROOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
So glad you enjoyed the updates. GROOOSSSS indeed!!!!

Day 12 July 2nd
So after staying up late with Diane and her lovely family until 11:30 we slept in on this day until 9:45 (just keeps getting later and later doesn’t it ; )
We didn’t have a park planned on this day, the kids chose Hollywood Studios, so we got ready and headed to the bus stop. Here is Luke from right outside of our room pointing to how close the bus stop is
001640x480.jpg

We got to Hollywood Studios and it was BANANAS B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!!
002640x480.jpg

I knew we needed to secure Fast Passes and QUICKLY. I hadn’t ridden Rockin’ Roller Coaster yet this trip and really wanted to but decided not to be selfish and we ALL love Toy Story Mania and if there were any of those FP’s left (it would be a MIRACLE!) and we could ALL enjoy a ride together. Tim went and rented an ECV for himself again since we knew we’d be at the park a while on this day and because his knee was killing him- the kids and I headed over to Toy Story Mania and they actually had some Fast Passes left- SCORE!
003640x480.jpg

Notice the late return time on them- oh well!
Lauren was DYING to see the entire High School Musical 3 show, so we got good seats for that:
004640x480.jpg

As we were waiting it started to thunder a bit and they CANCELLED the show, poor Lauren, she was disappointed. I promised her we’d be in the park all day and would see a later show, that perked her up.
We decided to find a shady spot and enjoy some popcorn with our snack credits:
005640x480.jpg

After that we decided to go check out the new American Idol show- this show is AMAZING!
007640x480.jpg

As you wait for it to start a camera guy comes out and films the crowd. You know how on the American Idol show they show the persons home town, people cheering for them, etc. – they do all of that but use the crowd waiting to make the videos- it was cool and the kids got into it.
Look at this COOL stage!
009640x480.jpg

Happy Lauren at the show:
010640x480.jpg

Happy Flat Shae and Tyson at the show:
011640x480.jpg

They showed us how to vote using the keypads in our seats:
013640x480.jpg

And the show began:
015640x480.jpg

It was a GREAT show, there was a really talented guy who won- he sang “Sweet Home Alabama”, we was AWESOME! We all really enjoyed it.
After that it was around 2:00 and we were hungry for lunch so we headed to Pizza Planet.
017640x480.jpg

It was another overcast and cooler day so we ate outside.
018640x480.jpg

I was disappointed to see that Disney finally got wise and shrunk the kids pizzas to TEENIE TINY pizzas- so you can’t share credits here anymore, our kids would have been starving if we would have made them share those teenie things.
After lunch the Tim headed out to try and score Rockin’ Roller Coaster Fast Passes.
The kids and I went to Muppets 3-D:
019640x480.jpg

021640x480.jpg

022640x480.jpg

It was a great show, we loved it as always. We met up with Tim after the show. He wasn’t able to get Rockin’ Roller Coaster Fast Passes (they were all out) so he scored some Tower of Terror ones instead. Then we headed to play in the streets of New York :
023640x480.jpg

Then we went to Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground which we USUALLY LOVE:
024640x480.jpg

It was INSANELY CROWDED!!!
025640x480.jpg

You literally could not MOVE in there, you know it’s bad when the kids ASKED to leave within 2 minutes of playing. On our way out I snapped a line of the LINE to get in (yes, that’s right, they had closed down letting people in and there was a LINE)
026640x480.jpg

After that we left and I looked at the times guide and saw a Playhouse Disney show was starting in 5 minutes so we raced over there and snuck in right as they were about to close the doors. Luke wasn’t happy about having to go, look at his forced smile:
027640x480.jpg

But Tim and Luke hadn’t been to the show since it has been re done (from Bear and the big Blue House – a family favorite to the now Playhouse Disney show). Luke got into the show rather quickly:
028640x480.jpg

They both had a great time at the show:
029640x480.jpg

030640x480.jpg

After the show we headed to the Villan store, Tim wanted to check out some of the clothes in there:
031640x480.jpg

Continued in Next Post!!!

As we were shopping around I saw the times guide and noticed the High School Musical 3 show was starting up again in about 20 minutes so we headed over there and secured a great spot. As we were sitting there I got a crowd shot for you so you could see how CRAZY crowded the park was on this day, INSANE!!!
033640x480.jpg

As we were waiting I also got this GREAT shot of Luke:
032640x480.jpg

Then the show began and Lauren was in Heaven!
034640x480.jpg

035640x480.jpg

They had a part for audience participation and once again Lauren was chosen and once again she was too shy to participate. I just don’t understand it. This girl is SO outgoing, she’s a cheerleader in front of TONS of people for goodness sake, but for some reason this trip every time she was picked she just couldn’t do it – part of me felt sorry for her because she LOVES High School Musical so much.
I got a kick out of this old woman who was picked, she was GREAT, and was shimmying her heart out (she’s the one with the white boa on):
036640x480.jpg

Now that is what Disney is ALL about! ; )
After that we headed to the Great Movie Ride. I took this of the kids outside the theatre, can you tell Luke was getting a little agitated with Lauren’s “poses” for pictures : )
038640x480.jpg

I just love the Great Movie Ride!
039640x480.jpg

Just SINGING in the RAIN!
040640x480.jpg

Mary Poppins:
041640x480.jpg

Time to go to Oz:
042640x480.jpg

044640x480.jpg

We had reservations for 50’s Prime Time Café, and we waited for a t.v. table, I was so happy we got one rather quickly:
045640x480.jpg

On our way to our table we noticed a VERY loud and rambunctious waitress named Janice, when they sat us down our more timid hostess said “Janice will be with you shortly” to which we all kinda laughed/groaned – we knew we were in for it- and BOY were we : )
Here are Lauren and I at the table:
046640x480.jpg

Don’t know who took this silly pic of me:
049640x480.jpg

Janice was funny, she threw the napkins and silverware down and told us to set the table, which we did quickly.
The kids had chicken noodle soup that came with their mealsTim and Luke immediately got into trouble because they were throwing napkins back and forth at the table next to us, Janice did NOT like that. Here is Luke accusing Tim of misbehaving:
047640x480.jpg

I had the meat loaf which was yummy and Tim ordered the Fried Chicken:
050640x480.jpg

His fried chicken was delicious but the problem was the side was “greens”. Well, Tim will eat just about any vegetable, but not greens. He really was TRYING to eat them, but just couldn’t get them down. Well, you know how this restaurant works, GOTTA eat your veggies. Tim was desperate and put some in Lauren’s chicken noodle soup bowl, under his chicken bones, he was really trying to hide them, Luke was cracking up:
052640x480.jpg

Well………. He got busted!
051640x480.jpg

Janice was not pleased. Tim said “I’ll eat ANY vegetable you bring me, I just can’t eat these greens”. Janice verbally abused him for a minute : ) and then she disappeared into the kitchen and re appeared with this:
053640x480.jpg

Yes, you saw that right, it’s greens covered in whipped cream and sprinkles.
Janice assisted:
054640x480.jpg

055640x480.jpg

SOOOOOOOOOO funny!!!! We were all DYING laughing (except for poor Tim).
Here is a family shot of us at the table (and Tim with his yummy treat):
056640x480.jpg

What a riot. We ordered desert (Tim was finally allowed to), we all had delicious sundaes and then headed back out to the park with full bellies and happy memories from our great dinner.
Time to use those Fast Passes!!!! We headed to Tower of Terror first:
058640x480.jpg

Lauren and I on the ride:
